Just to make the geezers on here feel more out of the loop, I’m here to remind them that Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem and Mary J. Blige are all now oldies acts from 20 years ago.
They are all irrelevant to young people today.
Kendrick Lamar came onto the music scene about 10 years ago.

This lineup actually makes me feel in the loop for the first time in years. While you could say Eminem isn't popular among the younger crowd, he should be. While I don't like all of his music, there's no question that he's a truly talented individual.

I really liked the show but it was slow until Kendrick arrive. Eminen really put everything on fire....and was also very sexy. I suddenly felt pregnant watching him so I had 2 birth control and I feel better this morning.
Eminem was the best for me as well. I appreciated the knee he took. That was a powerful message.

There was just no - ugh I don’t know - something.

Shakira and JLo went ham in their show and got raked over the coals for it so maybe a non- flashy show was better but let’s be real, they got dragged because they were women.

There was just something missing. I can’t say what but I preferred the girls over this show. Even though I love this line of up artists more. So I feel a ways.

Nothing tops Prince in my opinion though.

The set up was too videoclipy for me. It was hard to watch. I also love Mary J but she made me lose it. Too slow. There was a rythm problem. At least to me. It should have been a build up and it ended up being ups and down

Oh maybe that is what it was?!?! Too Videoclippy!!!!!

It was very choppy and croppy because it had to be focused on one of the stages and not the whole field. That might have been my issue.

I agree about Mary as well although she looked amazing!

The nostalgia was great but that special something is lost because they're all old men now.

Having so many artists meant only tiny segments for each which made the show too choppy... these guys have entire catalogues of good songs to carry a show alone.

Mary J. Blige is still facially pretty but she's fat now which detracts from her appeal. Having her do a dance routine while singing was a bad decision as she was so out of breathe she could hardly sing.

Never been a fan of Lamar's music. Not sure why he was there when he's from a different era from the rest of the line-up.

There have been better half-time shows like the one featuring Prince.

It was still a commendable performance and I was happy to see these 90s legends at the SuperBowl.
