New vs. Existing Threads.

A thread already exists with several reviews, is recent, and relevant. Should I start a new one?

  • Start new thread: I'm an egotistical jackass who doesn't care about the contributions of others.

    Votes: 6 12.0%
  • Start new thread: The OP may be deleted. Ergo, new threads for every review. Genius at work!

    Votes: 20 40.0%
  • Start new thread: Search feature didn't indicate old threads. Keep thread if otherwise indicated

    Votes: 13 26.0%
  • Start new thread: Search feature didn't indicate old threads. Delete and Merge if otherwise "

  • Start new thread: I'm an egotistical jackass who loves control. It's all about me

    Votes: 5 10.0%
  • Start new thread: I'm a Newb. Isn't that what everyone does? What's going on here?

    Votes: 2 4.0%
  • Post on Existing Thread: Keep institutional memory, show respect for other Terbians' efforts

    Votes: 18 36.0%
  • Post on Existing Thread: Allows for easy reference, good variety of opinions, healthy debate

Thought I would start this poll instead of cluttering up an SPs thread.
Have noticed a trend of newbs and vets starting new threads when recent threads exist.
Why?

Maximum of five choices. Change your votes at your leisure. Not a public poll. Have fun! Comments welcome. (Editor's Note: Can't edit options)

Thanks to Fred Zed for allowing us to post on this forum.

I don't understand why you don't understand, it's pretty simple and it has been explained to you several times. Like here:

If the OP gets banned and all his posts are cleared or if requests to have all his posts removed or if he just deletes his single thread then all the other reviews in the thread will be gone for everyone. Doesn't seem like something anyone would like now. Imagine losing all of DDB's golden work!! If all the separate reviews have the phone number, then a search will bring them all together for easy reference and security.

Great point. I remember my epic Nikki Luxx review got deleted 2 years ago because OP deleted his account. Had to rewrite the damn thing from memory. It was worth it since she is a great girl who deserves it. Yet it is nice to be able to have control over your reviews instead of being at the mercy of the OP.

Good points. But no one voted for the second option. Genius at work! (y)

Keep that logic going, though. Fresh threads for every review, even for our regulars. Anarchy or good thinking? Choose.
Option #5 is ironic (don't you think), since you're trying to control how other members wish to post.

If you're so preoccupied with continuity of the threads, just link the threads together. This was also recommended to you before.

You're asking a bunch of members to post in existing threads, when most of them can't search or even post in the right section.

Just last week, you created a new thread for Maya. An escort that's been working in Ottawa for over 6 years with many threads. You've even posted in her previous threads. All you had to do is search for her last 4 digits to find her thread, but instead you created a new one.

I voted but more to just see the results. Very biased poll and really is more of an attack on people who start new threads. Seems as though it is meant to be confrontational but what the hell? No one knows how rules are enforced these days!

One option should be "start a new thread because people have hijacked the other thread on the same provider and just want my review to represent my experience and more be another part of the debate!" The amount of times people take over a thread to tell others why their review sucks or is inappropriate is comical on this site.

100% agree with that one. Sometime it's pathetic to see people hijacking threads

Just last week Desiree had posted that all the reviews she had of her were deleted because the OP deleted his account, and none of those reviews could be recovered by the mods.

same thing happened with the original GFE thread, before maseeker created the new one.

happens all the time... we had a ton of reviews that were started by those members who were booted a couple of months ago, that are now lost because they were all compiled in one thread.

multiple Threads are easy enough to navigate around, and actually helps the provider more In my opinion.

Can't disagree even if I tried to go out of my way to do so 😆

Good points. Will add some more options.

Start New Thread: Old thread was deleted by OP and is unrecoverable. SP wants a new one!

Start New Thread: Old thread was hijacked and locked (Note: Can't add this option or edit others. Seems like common sense though. No one will quibble about starting a new thread if the old one is locked)

Send other suggestions as needed. (Suggestions that make Sense, btw) (update: can't edit or add options. 😪)

We wouldn't have these problems if people didn't delete OPs or disregard rules. Good idea for SPs to keep copies of their reviews.

These scenarios are relatively infrequent, however, and many providers have extremely lengthy review threads. Institutional memory and organization. Not a huge fan of multiple threads unless there are extenuating circumstances. Order vs chaos. Teamwork makes the dreamwork

Am sure that deleted threads can be restored. I deleted one thread at a Provider's request. A few months later she wanted it restored, so I dm'd the Mods, it was restored, everyone was happy!

At present the poll has been expanded to five selections. Hope that works!

Thanks to all for contributing here instead of cluttering up a provider's thread.

Your old thread was brought back because you are still a member in good standing. If a member is deleted, all posts are lost.

Frankly who cares. This place is so full of gossip I’m sure any provider who’s trying to rebrand or lay low or put her past behind will have it all dredged up again. When the guys here want to do the work they always manage to. We are not at dumb and lazy as you think.

Question ... If an SP or MA has a review thread from a previous agency or incarnation (different name), and they move locations, status, change names etc, should we pull up the old thread or start a new one? Asking for a friend.
I think it will always depends on the provider's situation and reason to rebrand. Some change name for security reasons, some rebrand just for a better promotion. I met girls who changed name just because they came to a point where they hated their original name, as simple as it is...

What I witnessed here is whenever a provider change her name, if someone brought it up even if it was for security reasons, there is always a member who will eventually say something and the thread will be delete - I'm not sure but a friend just told me.

Beside that, I think that as much as we can, to pull up the old thread would be the best scenario (when possible).

Good evening Marverick!

Yes so, Ive contacted TERB about my thread being nowhere to be found and they told me because the person who created the thread (I think it was *BOOBZ* back in 2017) deleted his account. All his threads had been deleted with him! Its SCANDALOUS. lolll! more than 150 000 views and TONES of reviews and HARD work gone in an heart beat!
Just super unfair. They said they couldnt recover it.

I haven't been back here since because whats the point? lolll 3 years of reviews gone. It is disappointing. Oh well, what can I do? lollll

Thank God, Im still blessed being with the same BOYFRIENDSSS since day one! hihi 🤭

Let's create some new memories and awesome reviews!

Like this idea, Mav. Only have one comment - I agree with dynomyte on the hijacking issue. In fact this thread is getting close to that on deleting.

I'm confused by the calculation of the results. Shouldn't the sum of the percentages of each categories be 100?

I'm at a loss here. What's the point of all this?
I should probably leave this to Maverick but to me I think threads are a valuable tool and sometimes it’s difficult follow or even find a current discussion which has maintained relevance to the topic. Sometimes the same topic is followed on several different threads. Sometimes original topics get lost as a thread devolves. Keeping a thread on point and in one place works for me.
