Any utterly horrific story, and I am not sure of the exact details, but I think the cops should have been prepared to use deadly force to protect these men...maybe the crowd was also armed, but this is just horrific and I am glad to see Whatsapp is putting measures in place.

This is more than just a Mexican problem. There have also been similar murders in India, and in Bogota, Columbia, all involving Whatsapp messaging of false claims of kidnappers and child rapists.

There are dozens of videos of heinous vigilante justice like this from third world countries that have nothing to do with whatsapp. Crowds angrily or gleefully beating people to death or burning them alive are not as uncommon as I'd wish. It really makes one appreciate law and order, and due process, so much more.
