When I split from my ex in Indianapolis and was driving all the way home to BC, I got a speeding ticket at 5am on an empty highway in the middle of the prairies somewhere. I'd been used to the higher speeds on the interstates and was crying my eyes out while driving and didn't notice the cop until it was too late. I gave him the divorce story but he still gave me a ticket!
