So since you aren't watching any actual games I assume that means you also won't comment anymore on the Leafs until the 3rd round?
Probably not much actually. May occasionally pop in if I'm watching a game with friends at the bar or something along those lines.
I just hate the Rah Rah at this point. At least show me say 20-12-4-4 at the halfway and I could come back. But no more blind allegence. No more excuses. This is the weathiest time in the league. Put a winning product out or I vote with my feet and eyes.
Two games in and two road wins, so far so good. One goal games, both of them.
That is why last year collapse was so puzzling. Then again, Boston loss the Cup in a couple of shifts, it could happen to anybody.
Actually, tonight was a 3-1 win, but notice at the end, the Leafs put them away. The had killer instinct to put them away, Bolland with his second goal of the game, with Lupul right in there digging for it too.
This team is going to be different.
Bolland will be a difference maker on this particular Leafs team. Along with Clarkson. They are not impact players. Put Bolland and Clarkson on a bad team, that team probably will remain bad. But put them on this Leafs team, they will make a big difference. The Leafs are a legit team, a playoff team.
Bolland will not be minus 10 like Graborski was, and the Leafs should have won that series.
I like to see Bolland play with Kessel a few times. Why not?
Even though Bozak is playing well, the secret seems to be if you are the center, give Kessel the puck and get into position.
Those two Bolland goals, a very good play only a skilled player like Lupul is able to do for the set to the first goal, then the clincher a rebound after Lupul had a chance.
One thing that seems apparent after only one start, is that Beiner is better at the shoot out than Riemer. Simmons did not have a chance on that penalty shot. He was going too slow and Beiner was out so far. Simmons was going too slow to deke and there was nothing to shoot at. One of the dullest penalty shots we will see.
Beiner will probably get the home opener start.

I know it is only 2 games in, but another sweet win,especially considering the come back in the latter haft of the game. After fumbling out of the the gate, Leafs seemed to be out of sort, but I'm sure RC gave them a big shake up in the first intermission, and juggling mightily the lines, even bench Kadri for a bit...
Most delight for me is I felt so calm whenever we got shot at, when Bernier handled the puck and passed it up. No putting down on Rheimer, but he has to do something better in that regards, now with a legit challenge for the number 1. It is, for now, a very healthy situation in net for the Buds.
Just love it, GO LEAFS GO. Can't wait to see Bernier on Sat, but if the stats are to believed Rheimer might start that game.

Was thinking the same thing. Leafs are deeper this year and it's already starting to pay off.
Kadri, Gardiner, Ranger and Abbott seem to be having some early growing pains.
But it is early and we're winning. No complaints.
And if you're a fan, you're a fan for the whole season.

Two games and things are looking good. The goalies are solid the penalty kill is still tough and the lines are well balanced. The come from behind win in Philly was very nice.Philly spent a lot of time fall down and still can'r score 5 on 5.

Mark Fraser was injured during last season's playoffs. McLaren suffered a broken finger during training camp this September.
I assume you meant "this is the wealthiest team in the league". You do know there's a salary cap right?
