Do short men make you want to avoid all other short men?

Are you telling us that 1,000 individuals, unrelated to any other group of people, that have not progressed beyond the hunter gatherer stage, and are dying off, prove that Partyman is right and the 50/50 split between men and women being taller in a relationship is doomed to extinction and never progressing?
All I know is I saw an all too familiar site at a bar/club this weekend. A couple different groups of short guys & as usual they were the ones not getting any female attention. Dudes 5'10+ were all engaged with women.
Yet the shorter smaller guys can hide more easily, move through the Tanzanian brush more quickly, and need less food to survive therefore allow more food for others. You don't want too much homogeneity as variety makes for easier completion of more varieties of tasks. Big guys carry, short guys climb and so on.
The Hadza males do fit the bill & some even well oner 6'. This is not my hypothesis or example. It is used by scolars in Anthropology & Sociology. On I believe a site doublex.com there is an article titled " female preference for tall men is a function of society, not biology. Anyway in academic circles these days the pervailing opinion is thus.
You still seem to want to ignore the basic fact that men are generally 4-6 inches taller than women worldwide, so to not favour taller mates put those women at a disadvantage; simple math. It's really not a mystery.

Or in other words, sub-sized husbands consume less food in a primitive society like that 1.000 person tribe. If ever I find myself a widow I will think long and hard about this for 1.34627 seconds before deciding I like taller men

Unless you are way above middle class then here in North America it does not matter much. I agree with most of you. Really doesn't matter what reason you give it BUT if you are below 5'9", you are s.o.l.'d. You need a huge amount of luck to find some girl that is half decent looking who will find you sexy. Forget personality..... that only gets you in the friend zone. I notice it is always the short guys that are stressing about how not to get friend zoned. Grow taller.

Ok, why are you putting this post of her in this thread? In no way is related to the topic. Back to the topic: to say that any experiences with a particular group of people ( race, religion, colour, size, sexual orientatio) is reflective of everyone in the group at large is simple bigotted, prejudice towards any specific individuals of that group. Plain & Simple.
It may something to do with her early years as she had a terrible family life. She has always been one of my favorite a time beautiful women and has done amazing work for battered women with her support for a women shelter, Jenesse Center.
Maybe because this thread is done, or maybe to show that height, colour or beautify means little when choosing a mate/date/one night stand.
