They said they would not comply, what else is one to expect...
Yes, why would I expect you to actually look at facts.

...
And if including topics from the "new curriculum" is prohibited by the directive of the government, then that will will be a problem
They are not. You've been given the exact language from the curriculum that specifically gives teachers latitude to discuss relevant topics.

And throwing in some stupid example in a different province does nothing to distract from you have provided noting to this discussion other than your long-winded opinions and continue to argue in the face of facts.

15 year olds organized 38,000 all on their own?...
I know that at your age it is hard to understand but kids have this thing called the internet that they are quite proficient in using. It allows you to post your opinion and even search for other people with similar opinions. And in their case, many people actually agree with their opinions.

p.s. I think what scares you is that by the next provincial election, all those high school students will be eligible voters.

...
Yeah lets let some 15 year old make govt policy & determine what its best for them to learn or not learn!...
I know you like to avoid facts but the 2015 curriculum was written by a group of the top experts on education and supported by the input from hundreds of other experts. The actual issue is that in his efforts to court the religious right, Ford chose to ignore the opinions of experts.

And yes, his government has the right to change the curriculum but it doesn't mean it's a smart choice. Those students (and OMG the teachers) also have the right to protest the decision.

too bad they are not old enough to vote & should not be able to sue the govt
...
So in your world, legal rights begin at 18?

I know it's difficult to understand but the right to vote is a different thing than legal rights under the law. I'm sure on eof the lawyers on the board can point out endless legal precedent for children and youths having the right to sue for protection of the Charter rights.

Oh come on , there is a left wing agenda that perimates through the teachers union
I observed it when I was in school
As already proven twice, most teachers voted Conservative in the last Provincial election counter to their union's recommendation.
You see a "left wing agenda" under every rock.
John, that was like 60+ years ago.

too bad they are not old enough to vote & should not be able to sue the govt
Sometimes I think old-times should not be allowed to drive in the left lane & should not be able to hang out at Tim Hortons staring at my daughters ...... but that's a discussion for another thread. :biggrin-new:
For the 3rd time John, he students are not suing the gov't, they are protesting. Saying the same wrong thing over and over won't change the fact that it's wrong.

15-17 year olds organized 38,000 all on their own? not a snowballs chance in hell! come on think about it
do you really think there was no adults involved in this
Absolutely they could. As already stated, the Student Council did it several times when I was in high school. Kids today are bright, motivated and capable. Student Councils have been talking to each other for years and the Internet only makes all of this easier.

So surprising that instead of admitting your bullshit was wrong you just keep on plodding along
Have you noticed that in this and other threads, he often just reposts earlier sentences over and over. Like an old timer who just keeps repeating himself for months and years, regardless of facts.
