I don’t gamble but my friend loves playing blackjack and she’s pretty good at it. She wants to go visit this place. Has anyone been to this casino and, if so, what are your thoughts? How big is it (in relation to say Niagara or Rama)? How many blackjack tables are there? Thanks in advance.

She's pretty good at it? What does that mean? She is an extremely good card counter?
No, she doesn't count cards. She uses intuition and a strategy she developed by watching a video on how to play by Telly Savalas. Wins about 70% of the time, but her key is knowing when to stop....either winning or losing.

On top of yo mama!
there is probably around a dozen blackjack tables. you cant count cards as they use a continous shuffling machine that gets reloaded after expelling around 1 deck so its useless trying to count cards. because of this, best you can do is play basic strategy. everything is random so there is no 'system' that works 70% of time, ie progressive betting etc...

Thanks, I’ll let her know. When I say she wins 70% of the time, I mean she comes out ahead on average about 7 out of 10 visits. Sometimes she wins $50, sometimes more. The most she’s ever won is about $500. Call it luck or whatever but she wins more often than she loses. She sets a limit of $200, if she loses that she’s out of there.

You are delusional if you think she has a winning strategy without counting cards. Intuition and Telly Savalas? The casino loves her.

I thought nobody goes to casinos today, everyone's into playing blackjack online huh. To tell the truth Woodbine Casino is a nice place to go, I highly recommend visiting it even without a girlfriend.

You're a realist. The delusional only remember the times they wins and call it a success.

Anyone who thinks they can beat the casino without counting cards or some sort of a hack really failed at schooling, particularly math among other subjects

I think, it is better not to visit real casinos now, though the quarantine measures were weakened. Personally I prefer playing blackjack online using mr bet bonus. It is safe and I can play with other players live. Does anyone visit casinos now?

Not in Ontario All are closed still. Though I heard the casino's in Niagara Falls which I think are now owned by the US Mohegan Empire are preparing but that has to come from the Govt. I would assume they would be the LAST places to open. Just too many chances to pick up the bug IMO.

The OLG still makes the decision on when casinos open. They are only operated by private companies but ultimately OLG is the only legal entity allowed to run a casino in ontario

I used to visit Casino’s often, mostly due to the women I was seeing, but stopped going for the longest time. A few months before the lockdown I used to go for the buffets as the food was decent and the price good.

I signed up for a card and didn’t play that much. Then they started sending me free gift promotions that I was a sucker for. I started going weekly for the free gifts and played a little blackjack. I was on a roll where I won 16 out of 17 times but never big wins (up approx $7,500 overall). The secret is knowing when to quit. I was satisfied in winning very little since I received my free gift and I could fill up on gas at more than $.10 off the price where I live. Plus, I gained comps that I could use for food and gift cards. All of a sudden though, they slowly stopped offering me free gifts because, I believe, they knew I was winning (pit bosses monitor this). So I stopped going and then the casinos shut down. I still have a few hundred dollars in comp money that I have to redeem so once they reopen I will purchase gas gift cards.

One of my best moments was the time I went with a regular as she loved baccarat. While she played baccarat I played blackjack. After a little while she come over as she had lost and I was up $1,000. I played a few more hands and left. I gave the cashier my chips and she gave me my winnings and I immediate gave it to her. The look of appreciation on her face was something I will never forget. Sadly she went back home
