I think my point was that Mattis had a very major policy difference with the President. Serving with distinction might be one thing. Most of our military leadership desires a large global footprint.
You insult me on a regular basis because I disagree with you. Yes he resigned but said he would leave in a few months . Trump didn't want him around so fired him. What don't you understand? You also intimated that I didn't know why he resigned. I clearly stated that it was because of a disagreement of the treatment of allies and perceived enemies. Which is what is was about. On Thursday Kelly, like Mattis a retired general though from the Army rather than the Marines, told the Washington Post: “The president did not fire him. He did not ask for his resignation. The president has clearly forgotten how it actually happened or is confused. The president tweeted a very positive tweet about Jim until he started to see on Fox News their interpretation of his letter. Then he got nasty. Jim Mattis is a honorable man.”
I'm sure he wasn't good at the job of kissing Trump's ass. That seems to be the only qualification needed in the WH.
In your opinion what was his resignation about? You accused me of not being able to comprehend. I don't always defend Trump. I have said many times I think he's an idiot and I don't like the way he insults people You can look it up, I thought he was going to bring change just like I thought Obama would bring change, sadly neither one did. As time has gone on I realized he is just like the other politicians except without a filter which I liked. I'd rather hear an unfiltered president than one who has his lines written for him. At least you know what you're getting, good or bad. I have soured on Trump to a point over the the last week or so. I don't like his handling of these protests because I think it's important for everyone to be heard. I really did like some of his policies, mostly economic and their economy was doing well until the pandemic. That has all changed. I haven't drank his kool-aid. I just hate the MSM media and I think they are a bigger threat to Democracy than anyone, that includes FOX and CNN.
