So what?
As long as he is employed, he is required to attend team meetings and practices so he isn`t just being paid when the game clock starts.

In any case, CK was not fired.
What part of this is so difficult for you to comprehend?
No difficulty comprehending at all.
I haven't said once in this thread that Colin Kaepernick was fired.

I firmly believe that the owners of NFL teams entered into collusion with regard to employing him.
Yes, Denver made him an offer. Was it fair market value? Kaepernick and his representatives didn't think so, as he didn't sign.

What part of this is so difficult for you to comprehend?

If CK was fired, he might have a point.
Since this is not the case, you don`t make sense.

Nobody owes CK a contract offer.
Whether it is his lack of talent, his disrespecting the flag, his behaviour off the field, or his long hair, their reasons are totally irrelevant.
Companies don`t have to justify not hiring someone.

Your belief that there was collusion is baseless and meaningless, except to you.
There is no logical reason to think that the teams got together and agreed that nobody is to hire CK.
The fact that there was an offer dispels this lunacy.

On the slopes of Mount Parnassus, Greece
Drew Brees agrees with you.
Aaron Rodgers, not so much, well, he may agree it's career suicide, but he certainly seems to believe Colin Kaepernick was right and just in what he did.
Riddle me this George while we're debating sans animosity. If everybody knelt would CK then stand?

Because it occurs to me that historically kneeling was more of a sign of fealty than standing and that's pretty far from the message he is trying to send isn't it?

I wouldn't lump CK in SJW's.

He put his career on the line, most SJWs are loathe to sacrifice anything. Take Jesus Bono for example, he likes to wag his finger at us for not supporting poverty in Africa, yet doesn't use his own money to support the cause - he no Dikembe Mutombo. I'll go one step further, most SJWs would move out of their neighbourhood if a black or Indian family moved in.

He's marginally better then a few back ups, but with a whole lot more headaches.
Exactly.
He isn`t good enough to justify taking on his toxic baggage.

Companies don`t just hire the grads with the highest grade point average.
Any potential employee has to have the right personality that conforms to the company`s culture.
They may make exceptions for exceptionally talented people.

There's a new rule in the NFL this year that all players much stand for the national anthem. If you no like, go hide in the lockerroom.
Link please?

How did Colin Kaepernick disrespect the flag?
Kneeling for the national anthem is disrespectful.
Just because he says that is not his intent does not change the reality of the act.
It is like a bank robber claiming that he is just protesting greedy bankers.
It is what it is.

Plus if CK wants to protest police brutality, he should go and picket a police station.
There is no connection to what he is doing and the supposed reason.
It is like someone pissing on a bait shop because a restaurant burned his fish.

How did Colin Kaepernick disrespect the flag?
Only the simple minded thought it was about the flag. It goes to show either they are not as smart as they think or they are being deliberately obtuse. Drew Brees was among the simple minded. He quickly got put in his place. It was beautiful to see how he shrank and walked that rubbish back.

In fact, let me go read all those history lessons of black men dying for that flag throughout history, and still being treated like shit each and every time they come back from fighting in those wars.

Too many Americans get their history lessons from "Saving Private Ryan" and films like that.
