Joe Jackson’s granddaughter Yasmine says she was stabbed 7 times in racially charged attack

Joe Jackson’s 25-year-old granddaughter, Yasmine Jackson, says she was stabbed seven times in a racially charged attack.

Yasmine — who is the daughter of Joh’Vonie Jackson, Joe’s daughter with Cheryl Terrell — posted gruesome injury photos and details to Instagram after the alleged attack in Las Vegas.

“This woman chased me down and started stabbing me. She said it’s because I was a n—-r and that’s all I could hear while I was being stabbed. I can’t move my neck at all. I’m scared to be alone,” Yasmine captioned the brutal images of her face and neck on Sunday.

Yasmine, who works as a nurse and lives in Las Vegas, claimed that at first nobody would come to her aid.

“I asked people to help me because she was stabbing me and nobody helped,” she wrote. “Until someone did, actually a few people did & I am thankful for you. I pray to God that if you have any kind of hatred in your heart towards black people that you heal it. I didn’t deserve this, nobody does.”

Yasmine wrote that she’s “still f–king proud to be black” and asked civil rights activist Shaun King for help because authorities were only charging the alleged attacker with “felony battery with a deadly weapon.”

“I feel like she deserves attempted murder and also this is a HATE CRIME,” she continued. “SHE CALLED ME A N—-R & THERE ARE WITNESSES.”

Yasmine later updated her post to reflect that the charges had been upgraded to attempted murder.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department declined to share the police report with Page Six because it pertains to an open criminal investigation.

Joh’Vonie also shared gruesome photos of her daughter’s alleged attack and blasted those with “hate in their heart.”

“Look what this Woman did to my daughter @yasminejackson_ she tried to kill my daughter for being Black,” Joh’Vonie wrote. “My daughter has a good heart and has dedicated her time as a nurse to help others. She did not deserve this!”

I saw Joe Jackson (the singer) live 4 times, including when he opened for The Who at Exhibition Stadium!
I initially thought the thread was going to be about Joe Jackson's (baseball player) granddaughter, but the math didn't add up.

Just saw him once but it was at Massey Hall. Great venue. Intimate.

I also saw The Who at Exhibition Stadium but not with Joe Jackson. I had to look it up but it looks like you caught the 1982, Nash The Slash, Joe Jackson, The Who line up. I saw the 1980, Nash the Slash, J Geils, Heart, The Who line up.

Looks like the fans didn't care for Joe Jackson.

Why are we going on about Joe when a woman has been stab in a hate crime?

Is that not the more important topic at hand?

No, they didn't (well, majority didn't).

I can't recall if it was Daltrey or Townshend, but one of them ripped the crowd for their actions.

Look at the stuff that most of these guys post, they don't care about POC getting racially attacked even when physical.

So what did you expect when you posted? I instantly thought of the famous musician as obviously did many more. I then thought after reading the article was what does this victims family heritage have to do with the attack. Why does the victim relationship to do with Joe Jackson or Michael? Absolutely nothing! Yet you still choose to lazily just repost the headline in to lead your post subject header. I'm thinking the lack of caring is shared by you as well.

Only an idiot would not have expected people to mention such a famous musician.

That said, the real tool is the person who wrote the original article.

Charlemagne who posted the article or Jessica Rain who has an issue with many who responded have yet to post a commentary on how they feel about this girls stabbing. Charlemagne seems ok with outside content ... which isn't bad and Jessica seems to just want to point fingers. Interesting. Speak up on the subject people if you are so offended.

At least gconstanza & I along with most other responders were able to use this thread to connect on some level.

There is nothing in the OP's post or in the link that provides any more details about the alleged attacker other than she is a woman.

“This woman chased me down and started stabbing me"

I think my feelings on her being stabbed in a hate crime are clear. I think it is horrible and horrible enough to be more important that chatting about Joe.

I would talk about it but everyone wants to talk about Joe.

I will add, under what has been reported, I think it was a hate crime as well and the woman should be charged as such. It seems like, once again, white privilege gets the win.

And I never said I was offended. I wouldn't go that far at all. Just because I pointed something out does not mean I was offended.

You could have clicked on the link if you needed clarification. Also, when I said look at what is mostly posted, I was talking about everything in the forums. You are one to call someone an idiot. I have never heard of the Joe Jackson you speak of, he probably hasn't been relevant in the last 20 years.
