Huge crowd of protesters, standing way less than 2 M from one another, I guess the 2nd wave of COVID-19 will arrive much earlier than expected.
CP24 reporter was just making excuses for them saying that's impossible to maintain the 2 meters distance because of the number of protestors. Priceless.
Not to mention the fact they that they have nothing to protest against. A black women died of a heart attack today.....lets protest!
I wonder when, if ever, we will find out what really happened, with reliable evidence to back up the details.
I know several people with family members with mental health issues. They are scared for their family member every time they need to call the police but have little choice. They will admit that most of the police have been fairly responsive but there's always the fear that one of the yahoos will show up.
Plenty of cases of beatings and harassment. We are getting better than we were and we're better than the US but there still is an issue.
From what I'm aware, Indigenous in Canada end up on the bad side of police actions fairly often too.
The family’s lawyer has walked back the Mom’s allegation that her daughter was pushed off the balcony by the police and clarified that she was not in the apartment at the time. The Mom has also asked that any protests invoking her daughter’s name be done peacefully.
