A crime in the US.
Now ruled a crime in Canada by a judge.

Anyway here is where Trudeau screwed up. He should have warned Meng not to come in when the request came down quietly via a staffer via a Proton email account. That's the way these things are usually done.

Beyond that Trudeau is following the law and treaties. These go beyond both leaders and need to be respected.

I hadn’t thought of that.

But I don’t think Trudeau screwed up, per se. If he didn’t do it then there is a reason. I don’t know what it is...but I don’t think it was an accident.

I wonder if JT is hyper-sensitive about keeping boundaries with the Justice Dept after the whole SNC Lavalin debacle? If that was the reason then in my opinion Trudeau did the right thing- just play it by the rules and deal with whatever happens.

I am with China on this one. To arrest Meng was beyond stupid. I blame it on the incompetent and vile Freeland.
Of course you are you are a Commie lover.

A crime in the US.
A Canadian court determined it would be a crime in Canada as well.

Try and keep up while you trip over yourself defending the Chinese regime every chance you get. And your penchant for spreading fake news is at an all time high.

The Department of Justice says the allegations against Huawei executive Meng Wanzhou would be a crime in Canada and she should be extradited to the United States on fraud charges.
The department says in documents filed in British Columbia Supreme Court that the allegations meet the crucial extradition test of “double criminality,” meaning if they had occurred in Canada they would be criminal under Canadian law.

It is the Chinese media that called Canada a flunkey of the United States. It was not the Chinese government that called Canada a pathetic clown. The media can twist things to write a story about. This is all Trump fake news where he tries to smear Hauwai so that they can not install the 5G system in the USA.

And who do you think controls the "Chinese media" exactly?

Here's a clue: China state-backed media...do you think their "media" is actually anyone other than the government?

Who gives an iota of crap what or who the Chinese media are critical about. Any attempts for the Canadian Government to interfere with the due process will either piss off the USA or China depending on the circumstances!!

The Chinese need to release the Canadian hostages that they are holding...after which they can go fuck themselves.

I agree that Canada needs to find other markets to buy and sell goods.
They're called bargaining chips. Ever played monopoly with someone who won't sell Park Place?
