I'm going to skip over the obvious A-list movie actresses and mention Rachel Brosnahan. She is very talented.

From the classic era: Ingrid Bergman.

My current favorite I can't watch much of. She stirs my loins with much intensity, can't take much of that Latino/Irish mix.

Audrey Hepburn by a wide margin. Also a favorite of many of the women I have visited. Currently, I really like Rebecca Ferguson

Agree on Ingrid Bergman. Jessica chastain is un-watchable.

I stumbled across the last hour of Silence of the Lambs on TV on the weekend. I have seen this movie over a dozen times and I was STILL on edge when she went in the house at the end. I mean I KNOW what is going to happen and it sill got me!

Only one, eh. I'll go with Natalie Portman. (There should be two categories. One for the modern era and one for the prehistoric.)

Good Christ!

It's damn near impossible to come up with one!

It's like selecting only ONE favourite piece of music!!!

Absolutes:

Audrey Hepburn

Juliette Binoche

Monica Bellucci (let's see any feeble hollywood actress even attempt "Malena")

The great Jeon Do-Yeon (the only Asian female actor to ever win Best Actress at Cannes)

....and of course, La Tremenda Streep.

Scarlett Johansson. Stunning, versatile, a great actress, and even her voice all by itself (in the movie Her) does it for me.

This new decade belongs to Samara Weaving

Sam Raimi laughed at Sony all the way to the bank...no they didn't burn down Casa Loma.

Glen Close. 7 oscar nominations but just could never win one
Are you saying she was close but no cigar?

I say this babe from Narcos. Don't know her name or her credits or even her acting ability. But she's hot as fuck and that's really all that matters:

Anbarandy included Lana Turner, she had the bedroom sexiness down pat. The actor she worked with on The Postman Always Rings Twice is significant, Tom Hardy is a later day John Garfield.

The Postman Always Rings Twice was remade in the early 80's starring Jessica Lange and Jack Nicholson.
