Covid19 Deaths 2020 - 94,011
(even doubling it which seems super unlikely with lockdowns and all) = 188,022
https://covid19.who.int/region/amro/country/us

CDC 2018 Report on Causes of Deaths for Year
https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/hus/2018/007.pdf
Respiratory Disease = 158,781
Influenza = 47,062
Total = 205,843

Also (as expected) the crowd who dies the most from respiratory (things like Influenza & Pneumonia) are old
Just like Covid
Also despite 200,000+ people dying of Influenza and related never heard of a lockdown before
Before the #FakeNews took off we just accepted old people dying as part of the circle of life and all sang along

Why are you adding the chronic respiratory deaths like COPD and Asthma to the influenza stats?

I understand the initial response. Covid was "new", but within a short period of time we got a fix on its mortality rate and lots of other key information. There's no way one can legitimately argue, in retrospect, that the response has not been overkill.

Shutting everything down and creating an environment of fear (people are scared of each other, aggressive to each other), and having agents enforcing it in order to wait for some miracle vaccine is a terrible misallocation of resources and only lengthens the time it will take to recover from the disease - socially and economically.

Most people are unphased by the covid panic but a significant vocal minority keep clamouring for the spotlight. These include scared people, media people, and those treating CERB payouts as a 4 month long vacation.

Don't really care at all what you think, which BTW, judging by the totality of your posts on this subject, is almost always counter intuitive to science, common sense and being a responsible member of society, as long as you social distance, wash your hands with soap and water, practice sound covid protocols and especially wear a mask if you are in close proximity to others.

Other than that, carry on.

You cannot reason with the Amigos and their twisted spun facts. Luckily their opinions are among the minority of the population.

That explains why 10,000 people went to the park on Saturday, they read "our" posts on terb and thought if is good enough for them it is good enough for us. BS I am in the minority, you along with DS99 are in the minorioty. Please prove to me I am in the minority. A few posts on terb mean nothing, unless they are reviews of the fine ladies.

You do know that many girls have already started to work again (indies and agency girls)...guess your cock won't be seeing an SP until a vaccine is found. Sucks to be bitter eh. If you look at the review section of terb, you will see that the guys are ready to jump back in.

Ontario is just super slow to move forward with the reopening for no reason, Ford is too focused on the LTCH's. His focus ought to be on the LTCH's and let the rest of us move forward.

Look at the States they are reopening. Europe is reopening, including Italy and Spain. The only thing they have done is asked people to wear face coverings, wash your hands and install plastic barriers. The number of new cases is not even a consideration.

When you remove the lazy asses that are coasting off CERB payments we're the majority. I usually prefer to be in the minority because it means I'm doing something right. The average person is average for a reason.

You should be running Ontario (only in your mind). Luckily for the rest of us it's Doug and the medical team. The selfish folks like yourself are just prolonging the coming of stage 2, be proud!

I was not at the park, I have nothing to do with it. It will take at least a week to see if the numbers have a huge surge, which I don’t see happening. Uncle Doug also said he won’t punish Ontario because the people went to the park.

I bet stage 2 will start no later than June 8. It falls in the middle of the 2 to 4 week time frame of stage 1. Everything about the reopening is arbitrary when it starts.

Doug needs to focus on the LTCH issue. Enjoy your day, gonna be a hot one, get out there and enjoy it!!

You just lost that bet as the State Of Emergency order has been extended to June 9th. Good ole Dougie is probably awaiting the surge caused be irresponsible and selfish folks enjoying their warm sunny days as if nothing is going on, ignoring social distance and face mask protocols.

https://toronto.ctvnews.ca/ontario-extends-all-emergency-orders-for-another-10-days-1.4956410

"To build on the progress we have made to contain COVID-19, people should continue to follow these simple public health guidelines, practice physical distancing, wear a mask when it is a challenge to physical distance, and wash their hands regularly.”

On May 19, the province extended all emergency orders, including the closure of outdoor playgrounds, public swimming pools, and bars and restaurants, except for takeout and delivery, until May 29.
The orders will now be in effect until June 9.
For this time, there also continues to be restrictions on social gatherings of more than five people and staff redeployment rules for long-term care homes and congregate settings remain in effect.

I have no doubt the State of Emergency will remain in place after stage 2 starts. Your post proves nothing.

Face coverings, social distancing, barriers etc will remain for some time OR until a vaccine is found.

State of Emergency:

The Ontario government continues to protect the health and safety of the public during the COVID-19 outbreak by extending all emergency orders in force under s.7.0.2 (4) of the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act.

Current emergency orders include the closure of outdoor playgrounds, play structures and equipment, public swimming pools and outdoor water facilities, as well as bars and restaurants except for takeout and delivery. Additionally, there continues to be restrictions on social gatherings of more than five people, and staff redeployment rules remain in place for long-term care homes and congregate settings like retirement homes and women's shelters
