the virus is not threat outdoors in parks.

If that's KB park, there were dense crowds of young people there socializing quite closely. Up to today, social distancing was okay in the park. It's a few blocks from me and I walk there by myself every day.

But today was a train wreck.

Don’t let Doggystyle see this....he seems to think this isn’t happening....
Actually what I told you is I don’t believe you when you conveniently make claims to fit your narrative, and exactly like I told you in that thread if these things happen you wouldn’t be the only person to report it, everyone would hear about it on the news or see it on social media exactly like this case, but unlike your supposed long lineups in Yorkville, and unlike “your numerous underground clubs being open”, and unlike your “lots of businesses operating despite shutdowns” .

I mentioned one store having a long line up and you blew up about this whole thing lmao....yes there have always been underground businesses long before this covid....what makes you think this wouldn’t be the case now ? The scene at the park is just another example of how a lot of people are reacting to this....does it make it ok? Probably not. But we know the media tends to lie to us anyway and there have been other articles like this where it’s just a matter of angles and deception...Anyway case in point it doesn’t change the fact there will always be people like this who are sick and tired of the lack of direction in this governments handling of this....
My whole point was that each time you conveniently know people working, lots of businesses operating long lineups at retail stores is just to fit your narrative of “open businesses now” if all those stories were true we’d all hear about it on the news or see it on social media.
And these Covidiots should all have been fined for not social distancing and they still represent a very small irrational, loud and ignorant percentage of the population which you’re a part of.

I’m glad to see that pic in the article. Lots of people out enjoying the sunshine. Who cares if they are not 6 feet apart

Wonder if Ford is going to call them yahoo’s. Probably not.

As the weather gets better and better we will see more and more of more of this.

I noticed the people in the pic are fairly young, the age group with virtually zero deaths. Can’t blame them for wanting to get outside after 2 months of being trapped indoors

What happens when these young superheroes bring it home to their not so young parents, grandparents. The numbers spike and Dougy clamps down again because big brave folks cannot control themselves and stay 6 ft apart?

If they really wanted to get serious about this then they should have had a real lockdown back in March and moved on...not go back and forth with opening things up...people are tired of living in isolation which by the way is not good for you by any stretch...it’s not the best thing in the world but what do you expect?
Well then why not open up and respect social distancing and wear mask wear it's appropriate to do so? Why not open up in a safe manner?

I wear masks and social distance but I’m not going to stay locked at home in isolation...
I don't stay home in isolation but when I go out I make sure I keep the appropriate distance and wear a mask when in public buildings. If we all did this opening could be possible instead of locking things up again if and when a second wave hits. This is why I find these public gatherings selfish and they should all be denied any treatment on the public dime.

6 feet, 12 feet, 24 feet, they have no clue how far the virus spreads when someone coughs. The shit spreads further than they think. 6 feet just sounds nice.

It is up to the parents and grandparents to protect themselves.

Its like driving a car. I do not worry about my driving, I worry about the rest of the assholes on the road. They are the ones gong to hit me. Take this afternoon, I was pulling onto the 400 this afternoon accelerating to merge, cock sucker in the Porsche decides to move from the centre lane into the right hand lane just as I was about to merge, I could see what the cock sucker was about to do so I had to hit the brakes in the acceleration lane, then accelerate again before merging into traffic. I did what is required to protect myself not the cock sucker who moves over into the slow lane to pass. The cock sucker could have passed on the left since the lane was open to him.

.
What about the arrogant cocksucker son who thinks he's invincible and brings it home to the parents. HOW the fuck are they suppose to protect themselves against that when other cocksuckers are telling the cocksucker son his young, he's safe and go ahead and live life so you can go home and maybe knock off your parents or granparents?

We can't save everyone. Shit, people still drink and drive, yet we all understand the risks. Look and the Muzzo family worth a few billion dollars. The grandson could not even spring a few bucks to take a cab home, he would have saved 4 lives.

He's been jailed and embarrassed. The folks who stupidly and selfishly bring COVID to others deserve the same fate.

These people are selfish assholes , no wonder this process of reopening will take so long. Sad to see but not unexpected. As far a those of us who have the sense and humanity to at least practice common sense, keep going, it is all we can do

I'm starting to think this disease isn't going to go away no matter what.

All the "social distancing", closings, masks don't do shit.

There's no drugs, there's probably not going to be a vaccine. Even if it is possible to make a vaccine it could take 3 years. (I'm still waiting for a vaccine for AIDS (been killing people since 1980 when nature came up with that one. Still waiting for a vaccine for Herpes. Hell, I'm still waiting for a vaccine for the common cold.). My point is that it's very likely that there will not be a vaccine.

Then what?

I don't know if Covid came out of a lab in China or a wet market in China, or if it's just nature deciding to cull the heard again.

I do know that we cannot afford to continue to live like this.

To use a military analogy, it may come down to "acceptable losses" .

I know that sounds cold, but it's the truth. In D-day in 1944 a 5 percent casualty rate among the troops that hit the beaches in Normandy would have been a dream come true. They would have been acceptable losses to the generals in charge and the public at large. Covid is very much like a war.

Our society needs cash to survive. At 25 or 30 percent unemployed, our society will implode. Not a question of if, a question of when. Then what?
