This is what I noticed over the past 2 weeks or so. There are many, many more JACKASSES not wearing a mask nor taking covid safety protocols seriously. My blood boils whenever I encounter these Jackasses as they encroach on my space and others spaces.
If you want evidence that masks work, look no farther than a recent NY state study that shows front like workers be they NYPD, EMS, hospital and ER doctors, nurses and staff, Fire Dept, transit workers and others have an infection rate of less than 1/2 the general overall infection rate of the population of NYC.
How could this possibly be you may ask? These workers are constant contact with covid infected people and in many instances in extremely infectious environments. Their infection rates should be at least the same as the overall population and much greater given their exposure. So how could these seemingly irreconcilable facts be true?
The answer is MASKS!
All these front line workers wear MASKS! and follow safe covid protocols.
Are you THAT GUY, THAT GIRL, THAT effin JACKASS who has decided to take it upon him or herself to do whatever the eff you want to do and damn the consequences to the others who you come into contact with?
There is no governmental mandate, order, edict that you wear a mask nor follow safe covid practices, but there is a SOCIETAL imperative that you show respect, compassion and caring to others who do not share your selfishness.
Mask up, it saves lives and will contribute greatly to a better, safer and faster tomorrow.
