It was great to have it back.
Some good fights, but the Ferguson vs. Gaethje could easily stand as the best fight of 2020. I can't believe Tony took the beating he did.
I like Gaethje, and wanted him to win so much. I was worried that Tony with endless energy, would come on strong in the championship rounds.
Without fans, it was kinds of cool hearing the hits and breathing. But honestly, with the fans is better.

All due respect Kathleen I couldn't call the Gaethje/Ferguson fight the best fight of 2020 because really it was a one sided beat down. Gaethje even said in the post fight presser that he only really felt one elbow. He failed to mention the uppercut that put him down at the end of the one round though.
As for the no audience. I got a big kick out of it when Hardy said he started checking his opponents kicks when he heard DC talking about it in his commentary. That was classic. The viewer experience was very similar to watching an episode of ''The Ultimate Fighter''. Which I don't mind because you can actually hear and witness the raw sounds of a real fight. Hearing the corners yell their instructions is very compelling as well.
I was disappointed in the Cruz stoppage. Thought he was on the verge of getting up when it was stopped. Give mad props to Henry though, he seemed like he was just one step ahead all fight. He's fun to watch. I hope this retirement is just a ploy to renegotiate his present contract.
I had Cerrone winning his bout with Pettis. Don't know how the ref missed that eye poke in the third round.
Bryce Mitchell is just a juggernaut on the ground. It's been a long time since I've seen that level of BJJ from somebody that young. He's one to watch out for for sure.
Another thing I want to point out is how the MMA media are attacking the UFC for staging events. Especially Bloody Elbow. I know they are owned by VOX which a leftist voice. But its disheartening to see negative narrative after negative narrative of what Dana White and the UFC are trying to do here. Even Dana in his interviews is growing impatient with them. Fortunately he won't be easily deterred.
