We survived without hourly restaurant disinfections before, and we can survive without them later. No need to become germophobes forever.
Not forever. Before is different than now and until there is a vaccine. I won't risk getting the virus and passing it on to my parents who are not a picture of perfect health, nor to friends who have parents who aren't in perfect health. What everyone else does is their business and why I said that for me restaurants will have to wait.

I'm going for some seafood...Captain's Boil...
Ever since that place opened on Elgin, I keep having this picture of a big, red lump on some hairy Captain's ass, so it does turn me off. LOL

Now if it was still the Italian place, I would be all over that.

currently no vaccine. while in the restaurant, do i have my mask on? what about other customers and staff? how far each table apart? and so on.

imho, just still so many unknowns and the consequences are just not worth it. takeouts and deliveries are probably safer choices

IMO It will be a very interesting sight to watch customers eat with masks on. Pretty much makes wearing a mask worthless.

Yeah, looks like shill. Just came over here from the other board that has no action, and is highly supervised. Appreciate the reply though. I've been viewing this board for a few years now, but never joined. Too little going on now, so I figured I'd join here. I do really like Colonnade Pizza. One of my go-tos when I'm in Ottawa. Have to visit The Laff, Meech Lake and Colonnade Pizza whenever I'm in town.

I’m in the restaurant business and visit many of them daily. I’m not sure there’s one restaurant I’d immediately visit when sit-in dining returns.

I’m waiting for The Burger’s Priest to open up. They’re very popular in Toronto and would like to try their fare.

For me it will be Baton Rouge, Maison Samorn & Al's Stk House. But like many here not until either the vaccine or the virus as outlasted itself.

Barberian's. A good friend and I had reservations there on the very day that it had to close. :( He is a very good customer there so we're hoping we might be welcomed back on the first day they reopen! lol

Edit: Oops! I didn't realize I was in the Ottawa and Kingston section. LOL

I'm dying for a Chicago style ribeye (Rare, but charred outside). The Keg does it well and there's a local in Orleans called Delicious Steakhouse that's just as good with a lot less pocket damage. I'll support the locals.

Oh Delicious!! Connie and Maggie used to like that place. We went there a few times and it was good! HVFM just like C&M! :D

Next time you are in the same area another little secret spot in Orleans for HVFM is Little Turkish Village. It doesn't look like much from the outside but they prepair food right.

Baton Rouge now delivers! i tried it, it was exceptional. I've never heard good reviews from the Delicious Steakhouse in Orleans, so it's making me rethink whether or not i should try it.

Have dined at Little Turkish Village several times and undeniably it's an excellent choice.

Ribeye (medium-well) at Delicious Steakhouse.... can't beat it.
Service is excellent as well.

I'd be a little leary about delivered steak, steak seems to be very dependent on time and temperature.
I totally agree. Steak is to be consumed within minutes after cooking. I know a restaurant owner that offers delivery and takeout, but steaks are off the menu. He doesn't want to lose the reputation of his steaks.l
