Ya they are both to blame. I don't know why Cuomo gets so much love, he failed miserably. He's dependent on the federal government to bail him out, so far he has gotten more protective equipment than anyone, more vents, the army corps of engineers, a floating military hospital, doctors and nurses from other states and its still not enough, talk about ill prepared.
He gets respect for being straight and and honest now.
And he personally takes responsibility.
Remember Chuck Schumer asking the President to declare an Emergency way back in January. Trump said NO. But this interview with Schumer is very revealing!!

Why didn't he ask Cuomo to declare a state emergency first, that's how it's usually done. He didn't declare until March 7th. But of course it's Trump's fault, Cuomo gets a free pass.
New York City and New York state in general has been poorly mismanaged in recent years. Comrade De Blasio is in his 2nd term and Cuomo is in his 3rd. They have nobody to blame but themselves. Their tax policies have driven out many higher income earners, they've squandered hundreds of millions on pet projects, it's a joke. Cuomo was warned in 2015 that New York did not have an adequate supply of ventilators and other equipment needed for a future attack or pandemic. Seems they didn't learn many of the lessons from 9/11.

Not doubt Trump is not handling the Pandemic well and downplayed it which was wrong I have said that in numerous threads so I don't know why you keep asking me that. but Cuomo was much to late to react especially since Schumer asked Trump to declare an emergency in January. Why didn't he ask Cuomo to do it first? That's how it's usually done. Cuomo also has a better approval rating because New York is a very Democratic state. The U.S. and Canada are both running out of PPE. Who gets the blame for that, Trump and Trudeau or only Trump? Trudeau will not give a model which most countries have already. What is he waiting for? There is plenty of data, What's the delay?

Listen, the Global Pandemic was declared on March 11th, even after Cuomo declared the State of Emergency. Again, why do you not berate the OP of this thread as he has praised Trump and now is condemning Cuomo. There is a certain level of hypocrisy, although you have said that Trump handling is just wrong. It is far worse than just "wrong", when you compile all his outrageous allegations against the Democrats as calling it a hoax, and even slamming Cuomo in the beginning, although Cuomo was trying to reach out to him. This Pandemic is like nothing that we have ever seen before. No one would have been fully prepared for it. Yes, we are running out of all these PPE and other relevant medical supplies and reagents. But remember that Trump was briefed by his own intelligence and the NCS as to the scale of this expected Pandemic. He ignored it, and his despicable statements even as late as the second week of March has zero excuses for the way he has handled it. If the same intelligence was put before the PM and he followed the same route as Trump, no doubt the right wingers would have gone ballistic with it!! But when even Quebec revealed that they will not have those projections etc. until next week, how on earth can a Federal Government readily produce those figures??
I'm not berating the OP because this thread is about New York, not Trump. You said this pandemic is nothing we have seen before but you seem to have no issue with constantly berating Trump about his readiness but give Trudeau a free pass. If it's nothing like we have seen before why do you expect Trump to be ready but not Trudeau? How do you know Trudeau didn't know the severity of the pandemic? The U.S and Canada share intelligence on everything to think they didn't on this is a kin to having your head in the sand. You still refuse to blame Cuomo and Deblasio for any of the issues in New York. Trudeau has still yet to declare a state of emergency, Why?
