Stop. Don't fall into that right wing conspiracy crap BS.Because it started with a million cases. We don’t test everyone, it was extremely limited. The virus has been here since October/November because it was racist to not travel ban or not believe the Marxist Chinese government and her enabler, WHO.
Not right now, but by the beginning of summer if the virus is seasonal and cases have leveled off. I can't really picture millions of people staring out their windows at perfect summer weather, day after day until it gets cold again. The distancing started with 120 cases in our country, how can it be justified to take a break?
New cases and deaths will reduce significantly at some point if we continue isolating, probably around 60 days. Meanwhile we'll need to ramp up our ability to test, trace and isolate. Once those two things happen, we'll start to loosen restrictions all the while asking those that are older and other at risk to continue to mostly stay isolated, along with anyone who thinks they are sick/showing symptoms. By that point the hospitals won't be in panic mode and more able to handle the lower flow and we'll try to bring some level of normal, but it won't be a free for all. I don't see any large gatherings/sporting events/concerts. international travel and things getting truly back to normal until 1. vaccine or 2. effective treatment.I totally agree with you. I'm just not sure the gov will agree with us. And yes, IF the virus is seasonal, IF, that's a big unknown factor. But again, the gov started taking measures when our country was at 120 cases, how can they remove these measures if the cases level off/down at say 500 or even 200? They would have to change their priority order between: economy vs lives.
Yes, I don't think we'll see anything like Bluesfest this year or next, or any concerts. The 2020-21 sports seasons will probably be cancelled too - even if the virus recedes having 10,000+ people together to watch the game wouldn't make any sense. But re-opening businesses, parks, etc. I can see.New cases and deaths will reduce significantly at some point if we continue isolating, probably around 60 days.
