I was keeping an eye on what members post in some of my threads.
The threads I respond to get some attention but the threads I post usually doesnt attract a Liberal crowd.
I wonder if they didnt see this thread or watched the clip?
I just wanted to know what they thought of it? I wanted to prove to them that N.American news is PROPAGANDA and should be taken with a grain of salt.

Fox is biased towards conservative viewpoints. CBC is biased towards liberal viewpoints. However, at least Fox is not beholden to the government as its paymaster.
I've never watched more CBC than I am at the moment. Its journalism standards are horrible. Its opinion panels are obviously imbalanced. Even its broadcasting operations are sub-par - often awkwardly shifting between news conferences without ever cogently collecting all the points made in overlapping presentations.

Its like comparing youtube to snap chat even though youtube and snap chat are the same entity and Fox and CBC being of different countries.
CBC has an ombudsman that you can complain to, should you find poor reporting or bias that doesn't reflect the views of the country.
Fox is owned by one rich fucker who pushes his own views on the rest of the country.
CBC may seem biased to you, but its not, and its stories are trustworthy.
Frank, this is madness. OF COURSE CBC is biased! Just try to find ANY conservative hosts. Just look at who they invite to their panel discussions. The balance on these panels mirrors what you would see on CNN. Look at how they parrot CNN coverage of the US.
Every news media reports at least some factual information. Bias is revealed in what they choose not to report, how they characterize the information they report, and their opinion journalism.
Not all CBC reporting is even trustworthy, particularly its reporting about international news.
I have no interest in lobbying the CBC ombudsman to force it into some semblance of balance and reliability. It simply should no longer exist.

Yes, we pay for the CBC and its mandated and watched to represent the views of Canadians and to criticize governments of all levels regardless of party or affiliation.
So that even when sensitive snowflakes like you read opinion pieces that make you angry you can complain to the ombudsman or even try to take them to court.

You are conflating real journalism with Fox News.
When a real news organization makes an error they publish what is known as a “retraction.” Fox, of course, is under no such obligation as their entire news operation consists of pulling shit out of their ass- nobody expects them to tell the truth in the first place so they are unburdened of any need to retract anything that is wrong.
