I’ll support the leader of our country during a global crisis but will never vote for a Liberal.

danmand, I, like Frankfooter, appreciate your strong views regarding this. However, I feel referring to it as a "regime change" may be an oversimplification. Instead, it's trying to provide basic democracy and freedoms to the Venezuelan people. If the U.S. supported Sheer over Trudeau(as you suggest in another post) they are simply supporting option A over option B, without denying Canadians the right to choose for themselves. Just my 2 cents.

To answer the op, I'd vote Liberal because politically I'm middle of the road. Trudeau is a bit left of center for me, and not perfect, but a lot better than the alternatives.
You realize you're supporting the US choice of candidate B over the actual election winning A, don't you?

I don't think it is Canada's role to decide what government Venezuela or any other country should have. Do we want another country to overturn our government if it does not like it?
I know this will cause a tidal wave of hurricanes and tornadoes to ravage the earth, but I agree with you.

Your pal Ford has a higher approval rating than Justin, lol.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/grenier-trudeau-covid-world-leaders-1.5511464

According to the ARI poll, however, more Canadians in every region of the country thought their provincial governments were doing a good job. In Ontario, 74 per cent of respondents reported that Premier Doug Ford's government was handling things well, a number that was also corroborated by the Léger poll.

Geez Beav that's got to be a real kick in the nuts for you!!
In another poll, both Trudeau and Ford have got the same ratings at 67%. Does this make you happy? Also the Liberals are now at 40% popularity if an election were held today. The Conservatives are at just 29% for now. But even more important are the Federal Liberal Government Approval Rating of as high as 75% for the manner in which it is handling this Covid-19 Pandemic!!

So are you going to withdraw that "Kick in the Guts" synonym and be more adult like at times like this??

What's happened to the NDP leader? Didn't hear from him during the railroad blockades, didn't hear from him during the pandemic.

GTA & Thereabouts...
Other than be a great actor!, what has Trudeau done? He's reading his script. Tam, Freeland, etc. are doing the work. Hell, it's probably the people even under them that are the real workers.

Trudeau is on constant video conferencing with his members of staff and other associated Health care Officials. As long as they are on the right path, why on earth is that supposed to be a criticism of him. After all, the self isolation is not his fault. We have seen that with numerous other leaders around the world along with their respective staff members!!

Yes, he is "acting" like a credible, compassionate leader, whereas Trump is acting like a buffoon. The death toll numbers don't lie.

The only ones that are denouncing Trudeau seem to be the usual Trumptard Cult Followers on this Board.

The proof is in the pudding, when you look at Canada's numbers vs the USA's. Canada seem to have taken a far more pragmatic approach, with Trudeau, Freeland and the Government following the advice of the Medical Experts. Unlike the USA where impulse of a certain POTUS matters and they have now officially surpassed all other nations with respect to the numbers infected, along with blatantly low numbers of protective gears for their frontline medical staff!!
Not true, I'm a Trump critic and Trudeau detractor.

I agree with you om Trump but deep don't also know that the Liberals under Trudeau can't be trusted. The odds are high that somehow they will favour their supporters with all the printed money they get to throw around. They've done it twice in recent memory already.

Why are the Liberals getting 75% support in how they are handling this crisis if they cannot be "trusted"?? This is a crisis that every single G7 nation are spending in order to buffer the eventual impact with this Pandemic. The USA are pouring in over $2 Trillion. They are supposed to be a Capitalistic Society. What are your suggestions?? Just let it play out with no Government spending?? Parties like the NDP are calling out for even more spending than the Liberals!!

You think Scheer would have been more trustworthy?
