As I am on my way north of the city to volunteer at a hospital for the next week or so since it's so short staffed.

Im wondering if anyone has any interest in updates from inside of the world of a hospital right now?

I'm not the greatest blogger nor do I thread alot on here but getting to talking with some terb gents I thought mabe it might be a way to help me and someone elses insights?

Just a thought.

Pls no negativity as things are already too stressful on people. I'm going up there with no accomodation no salary just me and 5 nurses and a car full of ventilators thanks to Kingston Ventilators Supply. This is our way of giving back so I'd like to keep it light and peaceful pls.

I look forward to anyone elses insight on this and happy to communicate things I'm noticing and dealing first hand.

Sofia xx

That's commendable of you. Stay save. Do you have masks?

A lot of hospital workers may not have enough food cause they are so busy they don't have time to go shopping. So maybe ask if they need any groceries.
That's a very good idea thank you. I think we will make a stop and get some food to bring. As for masks, No. There is a huge shortage. Some Ventilators were donated from patients with Apneas that felt others were more deserving very generous of them.

I work for a company who is in the healthcare field. Hospitals are trying as best they can to function with as minimal an onsite staff as possible. Just front line workers who will be overburdened and tired. It's a good thing that you are doing but it will be stressful, hope you're ready for that.

Honestly, I'm not sure if we are ready. I think we are all just going on adrenaline right now. We had been asked last week when the shortage got really bad.

I think mabe blogging(if any time to do so) is a way of me getting through it.

Thanks for your insight xx

That's wonderful, bless you!

Can I take a guess: Royal Victoria Health Center? Yes, keep us informed.

Glam had the right idea, helping the front line health professionals is the best action you can take.

I am not religious but you almost make me believe in Angels! There are no words to describe the gratitude I have so I will simply say on behalf of my small little family, Thank You!

I would ask that people consider donating $20.00 to Sick Kids for teddy bears. It might not seem like much but I have seen first hand the joy it brings to children especially now.

Central Ont. between here & there
Great on you.
you & the others will be a blessing on those where you are going to help spread the load & your smile.
I would love to see or hear updates.
Brings food is a great idea or even some great treats...
we need to step up to help where we can.
giving blood right now is a huge need I've heard.
Helping a neighbor who is self quarantined, go shopping for them, give them a call, etc...

Wasn't there a thread in the incall section about SOFIA continuing to work last week and kept seeing clients? (Dont know didn't read every post there) So now shes going to a hospital to help out and be a good samaritan?? this is a recipe for disaster waiting to happen. And everybody here is praising her ?
Ok got it ... just making sure I'm still the crazy one this morning lol

I think I mentioned no negativity on here but I'll stoop to your level for 1 quick minute to clarify a few things...

Yes we have all been tested most of the health care providers are rapidly being tested.

I was available for 2 days before I shut it down like most. I spent my time with less then 3 gents over that 2 days. I didn't need to announce I am in lockdown like everyone as truely it's no ones business.

And if you keep doing your reading you will see that the 1 gent whom was aggressive has now apologized and we are on the same page. I give him alot of credit to step up and say something.

I didn't start this thread for praises. I started it for positive feedback. Anyone getting up and helping right now is to be praised.

Now back to positive Sofia, who I hate coming out of my character lol....

I will absolutely start blogging once there's time. We arrived late and its quit busy.

Emerg Dept is quit full with alot of scared individuals ( which I totally understand) but now is the time to only go to hospital if needed.

They arent the healthiest environment on a regular a anyways. For now ICU has a few cases all older.

We will see what the week enfolds.

Also to the Blood Donation you guys are totally right I said it in my last thread. I donated last week. We are in major shortage so if you can do it.

Also my neighbors at home have been checking on the older ones doing groceries which is super awesome aswell.

It's just the little things in life that matter sometimes let's all do just a little something being Positive is the first:)

Xx

Ps. I would reply to each comment but mods will warn me lol xx
