Brady may do ok if he lands with the right team and can surround himself with talent to share the load, and he pretty much has his pick of a number of good options right now. Tampa seems the best fit on paper, but anything could happen. NO is off the table now that Brees has re-signed.

Newton, I'd say not so much. He has attitude and health issues dogging him, and wouldn't necessarily be a good fit for many teams based solely on those issues, regardless of his experience and talent.

Any chance that NE told Brady that they were going in a different direction and let him choose the narrative?
Why would he announce this before signing with anyone.

The US sports insiders were saying that it's been several years that Belichick has been wanting to move on to someone else, but ownership kept saying no. I think there was at one point a strong push for both Jimmy G. and Jacoby Brissette that went no where apparently because of ownership veto. Now they say they may want to bring Brissette back.

Well - Brady indeed off to TB. Phil Rivers off to Indy and the Colts. Tannehill re-signs with the Titans. Teddy Bridgewater signs with Carolina to replace Cam Newton...Jason Witten bolts from Cowboys to join Vegas Raiders.

So many dominoes falling so quickly and the deck re-shuffling as a result. By the time the NFL returns in the fall, fan will be absolutely rabid!

DeAndre Hopkins traded from the Texans (along with a fourth-round pick) in exchange for RB David Johnson, as well as a 2020 second-round pick and 2021 fourth-rounder, WTF???

Obrien must really have been fed up with Hopkins to give him away like that.

Guess we will finally see WHO was the major factor in NE success. Brady the player or Coach Grumpy.

This trade was a head scratchier for sure. No doubt there was a personnel conflict going on. You don't just give away 1 of the best young retrievers in the league.

As far as Newton goes,I wouldn't give Carolina a roll of tape for Newton. His attitude brings the entire team down when he sulks on the sidelines. He was a 1 year wonder at Auburn and had his 1 good year in Carolina. Until he gets his head screwed on straight he will be nothing more than a QB who bounces from team to team.
