Norway urges university students to return home from US because of the poorly developed health services in the USA.

"In 2018 private meeting with lawmakers, President Donald Trump reportedly expressed a desire for more immigrants from Norway after complaining about people moving to the U.S. from “shithole countries,” and naming Africa and Haiti, according to one of those present."

Twitter reacts:
Remember when Trump asked why America couldn't pull more immigrants from countries like Norway?
Now we know for sure. Because Norway considers America to be a shithole country.

That is not the picture that you will find in the link I posted, but keep posting your fake news. Maybe someone will actually believe your horseshit.
You posted a picture of the check in counter for those leaving Toronto to go back to their countries. This is the latest true picture of how deserted the arrivals are in Toronto Pearson Airport.
You just cannot stand the real facts. But keep on making excuses for the biggest screw up and compromising the health of those arriving at Chicago. Jeez!!

I can't believe this claptrap being posted, here. America is supposedly doing so badly, well let us look at the "socialist" models that are constantly promoted- Norway over 1300 cases, Sweden 1100, Netherlands 1400, Denmark almost 1000. All with the fraction of the populations compared to America.

Many more citizens are tested in countries like Norway, Sweden and Denmark as compared to the USA. There is just one death in Norway, whereas more than 50 have died in the USA. It seems like the epidemic is far worse in the USA as they are lagging well behind in their testing!!

Has Ontario peaked as the cases are confirmed to be 32 today. It was 42 yesterday. So hope it is flattening out, but still too early to tel.

Canada has tested more patients than the USA, although the USA has roughly ten times the population of Canada. But the right wingers never give this Government credit for anything!!

The US now has over 4000 cases.

Check in again in a week to see if the US rates are growing or slowing vs the rest of the world.

Facts for the intellectually challenged.

Norway population 5,368,000

USA population 331,002,651

Ummmmmmmmmm..... the population is much greater in the US, could that be the reason for more deaths Einstein?

The island of Heligoland has a population of 1,400. They’ll have less deaths than the US also. Meaning what?
If you don't take drastic action it will spread like it did in Italy.
As of today, the US now has 4000 cases, which means its spreading faster there than in Italy.

Well considering that the U.S. has a population almost 6x that of Italy and Canada is just over half that of Italy the U.S. doesn't seem to be the country that should be really concerned according to your chart.

It is still very different between China, South Korea, Italy and North America.

Where was the epicenter in China? One city basically, where it started spreading. Italy it was only a northern part of the country. South Korea it was a southern city, actually just one church.

In Canada, where is the epicenter? Toronto, greater Vancouver area, and somewhere in Alberta.

In the United States, where is the epicenter? The first reported deaths were around the Seattle area, undoubtedly the coronavirus travels the I-5 highway. California has some in San Francisco area and in LA. Then New York state has the most cases, because they are doing the most testing.

Where is the epicenter in North America? In countries where the epicenter was known, it spread like wild fire. In countries where the epicenter is unclear or there could be multiple epicenters, then we watch to see what happens.

Since outbreaks happened elsewhere first, North America should be more prepared to take measures to combat the spread of this infectious disease Covid-19.

Listening to all three levels of government in this country, one cannot feel particularly confident to put it mildly.

Okay, got to go. Need to buy some toilet paper ...

:ambivalence:

From Sunday's debate:
"With all due respect to Medicare for All, you have a single-payer system in Italy," countered Biden, pointing to a country that is in crisis now because of the coronavirus and arguing that the government's involvement in the health care system has not saved it.

The lack of testing in the U.S. is terrible to say the least, but it from what I have read it has to do more with government institutional failure (CDC) than lack of funding.
