Yeah commentary between periods on the Oilers Jets games is that the League will suspend the season.
This is tragic.
I cant believe this. So many players can possibly be affected .
I was looking forward to the playoffs too.
Oh well. Guess we will have to see what happens.

Marchand keeps licking people, yes it's going to spread throughout the league. NHL will shut down by Monday.

If that's the case, there is a force majeure in the Collective Bargaining Agreement....the Owners are not obliged to pay the players their remaining salary; in addition, this will reduce the Salary Cap for next year.
Well, the way it looks in the States right now this only makes sense

They have about 30 days to decide. I think its about 85% chance they shut it down. NHL 100% season done.
I knew this from the time they said it was "suspended". We all knew the pandemic was going to hit the U.S harder then many other countries. It was just a matter of time. Obviously they wanted to be optimistic, but it was very bleak at best once from the the time they suspended the season.
