Hoping to get some help with this. I know there are threads on this subject but none answer my questions .I am 38 and starting to experience issues performing. I don't feel comfortable asking my current doctor about it. Is there any other way I can get a prescription? Online perhaps?

38 is young to be experiencing performance issues.

There is always the possibility that there could be a physiological issue here.

Best to go to your doctor and get a full blood work up done.

Put your comfort issues aside on this one.

Go to a stranger doctor not your own...Oracle is right, you're young for these problems.

Would a walk in clinic work? I did ask my current doctor in a round about way but he brushed it off saying that it was in my head. Blood work was done and everything came back fine.

Time to find a new doctor.

You should see a real doctor as there are interactions and medical precautions in using ED meds. Your doctor does not sound very reliable.

If you want to tempt fate there are plenty of online "doctors" who will give you a prescription and tell you where to buy meds online. Be wary of fakes though.

I thought Canada had a system of clinics that can help you out. Beyond mixing with nitrates, ED drugs are safe if taken in reason. Either way a clinic, will look out for you.

Yes, 38 is somewhat young, but I wouldn't worry about it. Worry can be part of the problem. Stress, alcohol and lack of exercise can also add to the problem. I've been taking ED medication since my 40s. No big deal. Some days I wake up rarin' to go naturally, some day not so much.

A perfect day would be waking up rested, a quick turn on the treadmill, steak for lunch, a little alcohol at the pool with some bodacious, tan bodies walking around. Unfortunately, most days aren't like that.

Your doctor deals with A LOT worse, asking for a prescription for ED meds won't even phase them. Don't ask in a round about way, say directly that you are having issues and that you want to try them, they hand out these prescriptions quite willingly. I know for a fact that people use ED meds recreationally when they need a boost or to enhance the experience.

Since this topic is active I have a few questions...

Does Viagra work as expected and how long does it take to work?
Are there any side-effects, permanent or otherwise?
I am on diabetic medication. No problems with blood pressure. I intend to ask my doctor at my next visit but want to get real life perspectives

In my experience. It takes about hh to work. I get flushed in the face. Which lasts about an hour. Later on I experience mild indigestion.

Try taking less.

If you are just using it to turn pine lumber to oak, then 25 mg should be more than enough. Flushing, heartburn and headache suggest you are taking more than you need.

What about the reputed rare side effect "blue vision"? Has anybody ever experienced it?

Also has anybody here had an erection assisted by Viagra that actually did last more than 4 hours?

Yes I've had the " blue vision'' side effect from Viagra. No big deal the lights are usually dim anyways so I rarely ever noticed it.

The Mens clinic in Toronto is the place to go to.

Everyone's reactions are a bit different. For me, it takes about 45-50 minutes to kick-in, no food and very little alcohol. I also have to take it with water or some liquid for it to work the best. The Viagra enhancement lasts a few hours. Some report four hours or more.

When I was younger, more alcohol was fine. Not extremely buzzed though. I used to have minor issues with headaches, indigestion and blue vision, but grew out of it.

I've used Levitra with similar success. I had bad reactions to Cialis and never got more than a day of enhancement from the drug. It didn't give me that "weekend" advantage that others had.

In my experience: go to a walk-in clinic. Be genuine without volunteering too much information. The doctors always prescribe me a couple of sample 4-packs of 100mg viagra, often with a refill or two. I tell him it's related to "performance anxiety" whenever i'm with a new partner. I follow that up with something like "once i'm comfortable with my partner i find i'm never reliant on it" etc etc. A few good embellishments and you should be ready to rock and roll. I have no ED but like someone else mentioned: it makes my solid pine more like a hard oak. I'm usually able to stay hard after the first shot and if not, the refractory period is reduced by like 75%. I hate to admit it, but, i prefer to fuck with V. When i fuck without it, i'm basically a one shot kinda guy. When I use it, the sex is certainly noticeably more intense. 10/10 times the SPs comment on how hard i get (not sure if they suspect viagra because i'm even younger than the OP)

So, after sex do you stay hard for a longer time or lose the erection as before? And I assume the erection you get after taking it is noticeably harder.
Do you ever get to the point where you feel you have to use it before sex, ie get addicted to it?

And another question ... how much does it cost per pill, and is it covered by drug plans?
