Maybe I'm getting old and not very tech savvy, lol, but how do I transfer pics from my e-mail on to my phone so that I can text them to someone?

I googled it but the instructions/method didn't work.

1. Display the desired photo on the screen

2. Hold your phone up to a mirror.

3. Don't listen to my advice.

But seriously... what phone do you have?

Should be pretty easy Chloe. Just open the email, click on the picture and there should be a download option available to save it to your phone. What kind of phone do you have?

Sounds like you have a "dumb" phone that isn't an iPhone, Android or (gasp) a Blackberry. Smartphones have built in email software that let you send photos from email or camera and to text, email, social media, etc.No computer required.

If you don't have a smartphone check to see if it has a microSD card slot on the outside / inside. Sometimes the slot will be under the battery.

If you have a micro sd slot in your phone then youre you're in luck. You can save your photo from a computer into a microSD card. Then pop the microSD card into your phone and you should be able to see the image file on your phone.

You will need a microSD card and card reader for your computer though. Fortunately, these are really cheap.

I have an android. The thing is when I click on the pics absolutely nothing happens. Doesn't give me any options...nothing.

One quick option is to open the pic on your phone and zoom it out to fill the screen - and then take a 'screen shot' on the phone which will create the new photo on your phone.

Cheers

Just about all of the photo or gallery apps out there should have a "Share" icon somewhere on the screen. It looks like 3 circles connected with a line between them. You might have to tap on the screen once to see the icon. You might also have to tap and hold on the pic to see the Share icon.

When you tap the share icon you'll be presented with a list of options like Messages, Tweet, Gmail, WhatsApp, etc. The exact options differ depending on the phone.

You can also download Google photos to your phone that definitely has the Sharing feature.

Assuming you are talking about the email app on your phone, open the email. There should be a Save button near the image. Click that and the photo should be downloaded into the downloads album in the Gallery app.
