Only 57 years young.

He was fun to watch and had a hell of a world series against the Phillies.

F*ck he was getting better according to his wife just 2 weeks ago. Classy guy. Died way too young.

He was very religious so God bless him. It was a pleasure watching him his whole career with the Jays.

An all-time great Jay. I have his autograph. He'd just got traded back to the Jays.

Loved watching this guy play when he was a Blue Jay. Gave it 100% every time he stepped onto the field.
HE will be missed.

Terrific player, so smooth defensively, a terrific hitter.
One of the best Blue Jays ever, 4 different times a Blue Jay.
One of our 1st homegrown stars.
From all reports, a better man than ballplayer.

We'll miss you, Tony.

That clip reminded me of 2 things.

How good Tom Cheek's voice sounded.
How that team consistently did whatever they needed to do to keep acquiring good players and got better and better each year. That was a great time for Jays' fans. Sooo exciting.

His underhand flip from short to 1st was always a pleasure to watch.

He had a season with 213 hits which I think only Olerud equaled or surpassed.

Yeah Tom and Jerry were so great. Always makes sad when think about certain that were staples in my life growing up. Back then only 2 Jays games a week were televised if that. Some Wednesdays and Sunday's, so you would be I would be glued to my radio every night listening to Tom and Jerry.

Seeing that clip also makes miss being a kid, going to Exhibition stadium on nice nice nights (Even on shitty nights actually...lol.) in that outdoor park. Especially when the Ex was on and you could hit that up after. *sigh*
