I'm watching the LA vs. Houston game on FOX....some interesting rules changes surrounding the kickoffs and PATs.
On a kick-off, if the kicker puts the ball out-of-bounds, the receiving team scrimmages from the kicking teams 45 yard line.
Playclock has been shortened to 25 seconds and there is an extra official whose job is to spot the ball after every play, in order to make the game flow faster. Halftime has been shortened to 10 minutes.
Teams can throw 2 forward passes on a play; the player must be standing behind the line of scrimmage on both throws.
Quality of this game looks good....although I've seen two muffed punt returns so far; one of which resulted in a turnover.
Is the second time around the charm for Vince McMahon?
