1991 was when the murder rate peaked in Toronto, and demographics were a lot less diverse than they are now.
It's only two groups of origin that tend to be involved in shootings in the city, more-so than any other groups. Out West, you would be pointing out Natives, and it's pointless.

If you're thinking of renting out your home short-term in AirBnB you might wanna think twice because if somebody is murdered while it happens it makes it 10X harder to sell your home. Murders and suicides have to be divulged to any potential buyers, not divulging it means you open yourself up to lawsuits and other liabilities

When you consider how many houses/apartment/condos are Airbnb'd out on a daily basis in Toronto, the chances of something like this happening is close to zero. Especially if you're vigilant in screening your guests.
