The talking heads on CBC said that Muzzin (who will be an UFA on July 1st) are talking contract. That leaves Barrie, Ceci and Dermott (RFA) on defense to be re-signed or not.
How will this affect Guy Lapointe and the Golden Gate Warriors?

Makes sense they'll want to keep Muzzin if possible, but the other three are trade bait. My guess is that Ceci and Dermott are traded. Barrie is a wild card.

Dallas Stars is a very good team. Heard they beat the Leafs in regulation a couple of nights earlier. Roman Polak plays defense on that team. Penny's brother, who beat that new Leaf guy in a fight, also plays on that team.
Tyler Seguin was a 2nd overall pick. He is good.
Corey Perry was a good 1-2 punch with Getzlaff. That was when "he was played" with Anaheim.
Is that Penny from Big Bang Theory? Or former Hab Steve Penny? Who needs last names, eh? (BTW, I know who you mean.)

Here are more hockey players that play for the Dallas Stars hockey club in the National Hockey League. It is the best hockey league in the world.

It will be interesting. Leafs will lose one signed D-man in the expansion draft (maybe Holl?).

Also, ready or not but they are cheap, Sandin and Liljegren are already up with the big club. I think the Leafs would like to keep Dermott. Barrie scares me. He often charges the opposing net and a forward like Matthews ends up playing defense. (Rielly becomes an UFA in 2022 and will probably seek more than his current $5mm.)

BTW: Dubas is very capable of trading away another 1st round draft pick. He has already traded away the Leaf's 2020 or 2021 1st round pick.

"Tyler Seguin was selected second overall by the Boston Bruins with the pick they acquired from the Toronto Maple Leafs."

The Bruins got rid of him because he didn't fit the Bruin mold.

Instead of "best" league how about more world class players than any other league. It's been a while, but I believe that whenever there is a best on best tournament, there are more players from the NHL than any other league.

You can tell that Julien is an experienced coach. He knows that when he has a losing team the best ploy is to blame the refs.
If you actually saw the whole game, it was pretty clear the game was decided by the refs. The league should take disciplinary action when the refereeing is so blatantly bad. This game at least was no negative reflection on Julien or MTL as a team.

Last night, Buffalo did not take a penalty until they took one with about 5 minutes to go. Leafs had tied it up 2-2 in the 3rd. Shortly after, on 2 separate occasions, a Leaf got taken down in their own zone that could have easily been called penalties. A few seconds after 2nd takedown, they called the Leafs on a very questionable call (the announcers agreed the Leafs had a legit complaint) and Buff scored shortly after on the PP. After the game in his presser, Keefe did not complain (at least from what I hear). He just said his team got outplayed. Actually, most of the outplaying got done starting with that PP.

No whining. No crutches for his team to lean on. And to say that a ref is the cause when you are up 3-0 late is a huuuge stretch.

Do you see a difference?

So, I was commenting on the MTL game. Not comparing one coach to another, or one game to another. Yes MTL were up 3-0 (could have been more) and wound up losing because of a series of very bad calls by the refs that directly changed the course of the game, and it's ultimate outcome. Julien rightly called that out publicly after the game. If Keefe chose not to do the same, it's probably because he knows (as does everyone else) the Leafs loss really wasn't the outcome of bad refereeing. Trying to spin it that way would just be embarrassing.

Is your face red now? Bet it is.

You gave a 12 page dissertation on why Darts deserves to be abused, you can't point
out the humour in Wick's post?
