Delgado played on some weak Jays teams which gave him little protection in the BO. If he was in the Yankees line up during that era, he might well have considerably better #'s.

As a left hand hitter at Yankee Stadium with their line ups he would have been incredible.
He had the temperament to play there as well. Although George wouldn't have put up with him sitting for the national anthem.
That was a fun old ballpark.
Just a note about Carlos' power/strength. He generated those homers with a very compact swing. It looked like he was barely swinging but the balls flew off his bat. Probably one of the strongest players of his era, at least.
