A friend just phoned and asked for advice, and i think hes shit out of luck. Hes been using same garage for a couple of years now and hes built up a level of trust with them . So he buys a new car and the garage says he can store the old car there and he will try and sell it for him. So today he stops by to get something done on his new car and realizes his old car is gone.
They tell him its been towed by the city, but its always been parked on their driveway . And he tells me when he left it there he signed the ownership. Im guessing they sold the car .
I told him to go to mto and get a buyers package for the car . But since he signed ownership over i doubt hd will have any recourse.
Any thoughts or advice?

He needs to find out if the car was transferred to someone else(sold).
Then speak to a lawyer about his options but without anything in writing it his word against the garage.
If this car was a $1000 car then it’s not worth going to court over.

1. Did your friend get anything in writing (aka a contract)?
2. Is there a paper or digital trail of the transaction for payment of the car storage?
3. BBB that shit.

Wouldn’t the first step be to find out whether or not it has been towed????
