Hillary Clinton on Bernie Sanders: "Nobody likes him, nobody wants to work with him"

Having Clinton speak against him can only help his political fortunes. Not many trust her judgement, particularly when it comes to the subject of likeablity.

People who have dealt with Bernie know whether they can work with him or not, and don't have to rely on Clinton's opinions. If Senators really feel that way, they will speak for themselves. So far, it's notable that there has been no such statement from Warren, Klobuchar or Biden. If anyone seems "hard to deal with" at face value, it's got to be Warren. I think it would be impossible to reach a compromise with her on anything, and extremely unpleasant to even attempt.

The reason Bernie hasn't successfully moved so-called "progressive" legislation through congress is because of his ideas, not his personality or political skills. For Bernie to move his agenda forward he'd need a lot of turnover in both the House and Senate resulting in the appointment of MANY more liberal minded lawmakers. If that doesn't happen, it's not a personal failing of Bernie. It's a choice being made by voters.
Yup. And that's why they gave to go. Bernie has said as much. He will primary out anyone he needs to.

Can you name one person who truly likes Trump as a person?
51% of the American people believe not one person likes Trump.

Apparently, they were supposed to be flattered by her description of them as "deplorables."
You think Clinton described rust belt voters as "deplorables"?
Or do you think she called all Trump voters deplorables? I'm trying to understand your comment here.

Sorry? It's my understanding he just runs as an independent. In fact after 2016 they talked about running a Dem against him but realized it would be futile.

If that's the case then really I don't know.
He has a long standing deal with the Dems. After running as an independent repeatedly and losing, and then also running and splitting the vote, he basically cut a deal that he would suppress any third parties if they let him run in their primary and then refuse the nomination if he won.

It's mostly held up. The Dems know he is the party machine in his state, well liked and with incumbent privilege, and he basically votes democratic on most things. They wouldn't likely beat him but he can (and will) split the votes so a republican wins if they run against him.

Lots of people don't like it but he has the whip hand. The Dems don't want the GOP in the seat and Bernie is perfectly happy to have the GOP in the seat if he can't have it himself. Since he mostly votes Democratic party line on votes where his vote is needed, it works out. (He only votes independent when his vote won't matter because it will be a big win or loss. He doesn't want to risk them really turning on him but he also needs to have on brand votes.)

Thanks for explaining that. I knew there was some sort of back and forth between Bernie and the Dems but I never quite understood it.

This is the problem with Washington. It's not about whether you can do the job effectively, it's how many palms you can grease.

Whoever is nominated, hopefully they will be good enough to take out this most corrupt President. That is all that matters!!

All the top contenders are competitive in polling right now. None are blow away winners to the point that marginal shifts in swing states won't matter. (Obviously, that may change with campaigning.) Basically it is impossible to predict who has the "best" chance to beat Trump because we don't have a strong enough signal among the noise.

This may well be the best endorsement he has.

He can take the gloves off now. If he chooses. Or take the high road.

First Warren, now Clinton. Clueless.
Or have Tulsi nail Shillary for him, right after this Tulsi nailed Shillary with a $50,000,000 lawsuit, to force Shillary out of the dark corners of the halls of power where she spins her webs of manipulation and into the light where she can be fought.

AOC also has a bigger fan base than Trump will ever have.

Bernie is smart, he knows how to tap in to what benefits him the most. Loser Hillary showed up on The Howard Stern Show when she had nothing to gain.

That... Thing is an imposter of the Howard Stern I adored, I mean he didn't even ask Hillary to get her tits out or smell bababooeies farts or compete in a travia contest with a drunk homeless man. He sold out.
