No one knows for sure. I’m making an educated guess based on the history of these “pandemics”, and my knowledge of how the Chinese government operates. It’s up for debate how serious this may or may not be, what isn’t up for debate is the fact that we’ve been in this same situation many times over the past couple decades and there’s always this same panic cycle that the media encourages. All I’m saying is don’t panic until there’s reason to panic and be aware that the media always makes this sort of thing seem scary because fear sells. We’re still looking at less than 1000 cases and less than 100 deaths, most of which were older, sick people. I’m just saying, keep things in perspective.

I say, do not underestimate or become complacent with any risks with significant consequences.

I also think that governments should take this more seriously than you do. If China has quarantined an entire city, and the incubation period is a week long, it is reasonable and prudent to listen to Doctors for advice to mitigate the risk and consequences.

Ontario health officials say first possible case of coronavirus confirmed in Toronto

A possible case of the coronavirus in Canada has been confirmed in Toronto, Ontario health officials say.

The new coronavirus, known as 2019-nCov, has killed at least 41 people as of Saturday.

The disease was first reported by health authorities in Wuhan, China on Dec. 31. Since then, the number of infected has climbed to 1,287.

Australia and Malaysia reported their first cases Saturday - four each -and Japan, its third. France confirmed three cases Friday, the first in Europe, and the U.S. identified its second, a woman in Chicago who had returned from China.

The new virus comes from a large family of what are known as coronaviruses, some causing nothing worse than a cold. It causes cold- and flu-like symptoms, including cough and fever, and in more severe cases, shortness of breath. It can worsen to pneumonia, which can be fatal
