As the worlds leading sponsor of terror I think the world would do well to keep Iran on a short leash.
Look in the mirror if you want to find the leading sponsor of terror.

Leading sponsor of terror in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Yemen is not Iran.

Add Venezuela to that list. And probably Bolivia.

Err..... I don't think the US is in there for the people exactly.

For instance, those backward, corrupt, tribal parts of the world where there's no oil and no $$$$ to be made - i.e. sub Saharan Africa - doesn't have a US presence. Can we draw a logical inference here?

You mean like Afghanistan..... try again.

Trump has already said he's in Syria for their oil.
Try again.

Trump really is moronically and disastrously stuck in the dark ages.
His climate change denial means that he still thinks that controlling oil will give you control over the planet.
Best argument for the New Green Deal is that it ends this sort of warmonger shite.

True that he was fully responsible for taking out ISIS from Iraq. But I still am trying to find out why exactly he is considered to be a terrorist. There is absolutely no data online about his exact involvements in terrorist killings. Trump stated that he was responsible for the killings of thousands of Americans and Millions of other people. When did thousands of Americans die apart from the Iraq war that did not involve Iran?
He was the leader of Al-Quds which provides/provided military support to Hezbollah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, the Taliban and the Houthis in Lebanon. Sure they helped fight off ISIS in Iraq but they did so mainly for self interest since ISIS is a Sunni militant group. It certainly wasn't a case of the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Good point, it’s Pakistan in Afghanistan, Iran is not in Libya, the rest are Iran.

And the US funded Al Qaeda in Syria, is supporting the Yemen war and Saudi Arabia's plans for the middle east.
Its hardly good vs evil over there, just a free for all to grab the last reserves of the fuel screwing over the planet.

After asking Iran to respond proportionally, Trump now threatens to respond disproportionately. He’s also telling Congress he will be notifying them via Twitter.

The US appears to be in disarray.

“These Media Posts will serve as notification to the United States Congress that should Iran strike any U.S. person or target, the United States will quickly & fully strike back, & perhaps in a disproportionate manner. Such legal notice is not required, but is given nevertheless!”

They also killed the Iraqi PMF commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis who was instrumental in eventually defeating ISIS. This was done on Iraqi soil. Yet not one US Government official has shown any concern for doing so. Do they consider this PMF Commander to be a "terrorist" who was involved in the elimination of terrorists in Iraq?? The USA were responsible for el Qaeda's birth in the manner in which they armed them to fight against the Russian sponsored Afghan Government. Osama Bin Laden was one of them. Iran stopped funding Hamas in 2009. The Houthis are ones that have been massacred by the US sponsored Saudi Arabia bombing.

Once again ISIS and el Qaeda are celebrating the USA killing of Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis. Just when they were on the run, they will now be able to re-group. They are the real terrorists!!

How is ISIS going to regroup with their leader dead, no cash, no weapons and no recruits? What's left of them are trying to survive Syria and Hezbollah pressing from one side, the Iraqi army from the other

To them their leader was a martyr, and they have already appointed a new leader who is called Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurashi. It is true that ISIS was in disarray after they were quelled by the Iranians and Iraqis in Iraq, and the Kurds plus US / NATO backed forces in Syria. But remember that when Trump pulled out the US troops, the Turks battle against the Kurds resulted in masses of ISIS prisoners escaping from Kurdish held jails. They will have no problems getting funded by various organizations in countries like Saudi Arabia and Dubai. Only you will believe that ISIS is total defeated, as they will be regrouping now that Trump has caused all this chaos in that region!!
