Was Dimaggio's 56 game hit streak bogus?

I'm not so sure. MLB knows it has an issue with action on the field. The three true outcomes (HR, K and BB) are dominating play. There is not enough action on the field. Baseball needs more singles, doubles, triples and players running around the bases.
We know MLB is slow to change. All the major sports have tinkered with the positioning of players on the playing surface. I think of the NBA's attempt to limit the zone defense as the best example.
I also like this photo of Tyra. I love whatever they sprayed on her skin to make it glisten.
Either MLB illegalizes the shift (which I dont see happening), or the hitters need to adjust and hit opposite field (which I also dont see happening en masse).
So unless we get either side to adjust, we are stuck with it
Oh and shack, sooner or later DiMags wouldve hit a line drive or a ground ball into the shift, tell me otherwise

So he got hits in 72 out of 73 games at one point during the season.
