Toronto Maple Leafs
SCORING GP G A P +/-
1 Matthews, Auston C
64 43 31 74 16
2 Marner, Mitchell RW
53 15 47 62 0
3 Nylander, William RW
62 28 28 56 0
3 Tavares, John C
57 26 30 56 -6

Plus/Minus
Mathews (+16), Nylander and Marner 0, Tavares (-6)
Again Tavaras is used to stop the likes of Boston's super line. Of course you fail to understand that since your hockey knowledge is limited. Matthews is their best offensive weapon. It's on the coach and game plan to match him with opposition where he can score rather than spend his time checking the likes of Bergeron, Marchand, and Pasta.

Those three can continue to sing his virtues, but it won't change the reality of what anyone who actually knows hockey knows to be true. Just makes you look stupid the more you protest and insist on pumping his tires.
OK, people it is now official. This is the self-appointed TERB hockey expert and we are his stupid minions. He is not only modest but a charmer as well.

All hail the Wicked one.:hail:

You're really stretching it there. They're bangers? Really? Were they banging anybody in last years playoffs vs Columbus?
They all play a much more physical game than Wee Willy does, that's for sure, so by comparison, yeah, they're bangers. What part don't you get?

That's so you shack. You can't counter the argument so you attack on a personal level. So predictable. Just more bully behaviour.

And your counter to my post of balanced observations was, "I am an expert and those who disagree are stupid". But that is not considered a personal attack, is it?

:hail: to the charmer king.

Previously I wanted Nylander traded regardless of return as it would mean addition by subtraction. Now that he’s performed much better, I still think he should be traded but for a different reason.

I just can’t see how you can have a balanced lineup with nearly 50% of your cap tied up for 4 forwards. Especially with a defence that’s seriously lacking in both NHL quality and quantity (with many ufa’s and rfa’s). They need to have a more balanced allocation of cap space between forwards and defence.

If one of the four forwards is to be traded for help on defence, Willy would be the logical choice. Tavares has a no movement clause, Matthews is a legit no. 1 centre and Marner is one of the best play makers in the league and he kills penalties. Willy has had the benefit of playing with either Taraves, Matthews and/or Marner and his trade value has never been higher.

When Dubas said “we can and we will”, I highly doubt he knew he had to pay so much to resign the three. He backed himself into a corner with that vow and also his promise of no trade to Nylander. He has made this defence one of the weakest in the league and the team has been regressing since he took over.

Teams are watching videos on Sandin and they are sending 2 forecheckers on him and he's coughing the puck. Now with Muzzin out, teams are sending 2 forwards on every Leafs defense, the pressure will make them turn the puck over.

No, the problem with Nylander is that he IS big enough and he IS talented enough, but won't even take a bump to make a play.
Oh wait, he had a very good game last night, that means everything we've seen until yesterday doesn't count for anything.
well said!!

Leafs need to learn to run legit interference, all the other teams do it, Boston gets away with murder.

The secondary D comes over to support the puck D, gets in the way of the line of forecheck creating a speed bump.
The caveat is a forward has to come back deep as the outlet pass to relieve the secondary D.
Leafs still keep their secondary D way off to the other side or behind the net for the outlet.

I never quoted you, or named you in my post, shack. I also never named myself an expert. I spoke in generalities. It's unfortunate that you seem to have self-identified with my comments, and then went into personal attack mode, but that's on you, not me.

Do me a favor and put me on ignore. It's too tiresome, not mention tedious, to deal with your ultra-low emotional IQ and constant bully behavior. You're not worth my time, frankly speaking.

Bye, Felicia!

This is an excellent summary of what most in this thread have been saying all along. The prevailing opinion also appears to be that slippery Bill is too soft and as a result, overpaid based on team and fan expectations, which only strengthens the case to see him traded. I highly expect he'll be on someone else's roster come October 2020.

I can see that you like to think that you hold yourself to a high standard, like calling other people who disagree with you stupid. And even if you didn't use the word "expert" you sure implied it. Go ahead and put me on ignore so you don't have to deal with my stupidity. Oagre pegged you perfectly. :hail:

Like I said - tedious. Oagre is nothing but a whiny bitch who got publicly called out for his trolling and then cried to the mods to have the post deleted, then looped back for one last jab after the fact. It surprises me not in the least that you and he are so tight. If he's pegging anyone, it's probably you. Enjoy. I've already moved on from both of you. It's clear you're both on a mission now to get me banned.

He's using an old criminal defense lawyer tactic. "If one can't win on the facts and/or law, then launch personal attacks on the witness." Of course, this tactic only works on dumb people.

Doesn't matter, man. I've recognized what they're up to and have totally moved on. They're not important to me at all, and I'd rather just have fun in various and sundry discussions on this board. Really can't waste any more time on the tedious drama. It's harshing my buzz! :hippie:

McD in Edm hasn't hit anyone in his whole career. Biggest floater out there. Soft as putty. Skill? Who cares. Total crap. Shouldn't even be in the league. He should be working in McD.
