Time to rebuild. Blow it up in the summer.
And then what? With Dubas as the GM, you'll end up with similar team. Actually, I think that Rogers will push for the Don Cherry solution and dump the whole management before blowing up the team. In the third period Carolina totally exposed the Leafs for what they are. I bet that there's a wholesale panic among the management. It's one thing for the fan base to be upset, it's brand killing to have the same fans to laugh at the team and giving the opposing goalie(even a zamboni driver) a standing o.

Carolina has speedy forwards and they use them to pressure the D. Creates turnovers.
It took Carolina 3 goalies to beat the Leafs.

I find it tragic that the Maple Leafs don't possess any speedy forwards.

Carolina is one of the best forechecking teams in the league. Our weak D could not hold up.

The loss was no big deal. The Leafs need to save up their energy for the playoffs and since Florida lost the Leafs are still in a playoff position and they didn't overexert themselves.

I suspect this is the same kind of “no shame” attitudes that some of the Leaf players have and that’s even more pathetic than the loss itself.

shackie, will making the playoffs result in excessive T.O.I. for certain players?

regular season and the playoffs are different animals. Just get in. Doesn't matter how you get there. Teams load up for playoffs. Columbus loaded big time last year. TB had Hedman in the regular season but didn't have him in the playoffs.

3 games left vs TB though in the regular season. TB is running on all cylinders.

I'm pretty sure shack was just bustin' balls.
That may be overstating it a bit. It was more sarcastic than anything else. But unlike your other buddy you at least read into it and figured out that it was not a serious comment.

You're the only one who thinks so.
You are the only one who got my post wrong.:clap2:

Exactly. They are thinking long range. They are not only world class athletes but also intellectuals.

p.s. to John Wick. I'm just kidding again and don't want to confuse you.

About 15 hours after beating the Leafs, David Ayres was back on the ice, facing pucks from an injured Ilya Mikheyev & noted floater William Nylander, who was putting himself through numerous shooting drills.

Tampa, Boston and Washington have now all been dealing and fine tuning.
Meanwhile Dubas sits and plays the fiddle.

Will see what Monday brings....
