I had a small claims court open and he was able to produce fake emails that I never sent as evidence. They had my email address and everything on them. Anyone ever heard of this? I guess anything can be done now.

Yes, email spoofing technology exists, which means they can make it appear as though an email came from your email address.
However, a little extra investigation should determine whether or not it legitimately came from you, by checking the domain and IP it derived from.
I don't know any more about it than that, though.

Every email has hidden info contained in its header. A skilled IT person can look at the emails sent (not a forward of them) and demonstrate an email was spoofed by being sent from a different IP then what your domain is registered to, for example.

Getting access to the ‘proof’ email can be the hardest part but if challenged in court it can work out for you.

I recently had someone attempt the same type of thing. After researching and speaking with a lawyer, I discovered it is shockingly easy to fake emails and text messages. Sadly we are beginning to live in a world that people seek attention and redemption in devious and surprising ways.

I guess a sign of the times.....

I am suspicious of the authenticity of this thread

As anyone who has ever gone through small claims knows; an email chain if being presented to small claims court as evidence would need to have been submitted BEFORE the trial, and if there were any issues regarding its authenticity they would be dealt with BEFORE the trial

If OP is claiming these were dropped on him day of trial he is either lying or was avoiding being served (which also implies guilt in itself)

I was wondering the same thing but didn't want to raise this in the open forum.

I apologize, I don’t read it that way. I think he is just saying they were able to be included as evidence as part of a court case. I don’t read anything stating he was surprised in the courtroom in any way. It simply doesn’t say that

What's the story behind these alleged fake emails?

In the past I read a few, only a very few, of the OP's posts and got the impression that he started a business which crashed and burned and then was sued for untoward conduct. Is this the background to these fake emails?
