That's why you need a carbon tax, to make running SUV's too expensive, instead of telling people they can't have them.

Do you have a better plan, other then your call for eugenics or China like children limits?

Trump, Jason Kenny and others either refuse to do so or futz around trying to do as little as possible because it may hurt shareholders and regional economies or the Saudis etc.

You better hope our own Trudeau is going to refuse
to do what Greta and a bunch of other kids suggested in a letter
sent to the PM as well as Jonathan Wilkinson a few days earlier.
The letter asked Trudeau to respond within two weeks. Trudeau
in all likelihood would do as little as possible for it may hurt our
economy. We in Ontario also cannot afford to hurt the Saudis
by banning import of their oil.

A more fitting analogy is me telling people in a college
party drinking beer is destroying their liver. My family
doctor is a professional whom I look to for health advice.
And they give advice from a clinic. No comparison to a
kid who has not even graduated high school.

She's as good as most child actors, and just like any other child actor anything she says is as the puppet of some adult.

Btw, I don't read references to her Aspergers or her anger management issues as a criticism of her, per se. Her parents and handlers are well are of her issues. The criticism is being levied against the adults who have put someone with her challenges into such a stressful position, allowing themselves to sit comfortably behind the curtains. To many, including me, it looks like child abuse.

Wah Wah Wah. Lots of misandry here too, with men hating women pushing the fake narrative of angry men, toxic male privilege, and continued oppression of women. The very same women that seek to live lavishly off the back of men's success, and tend to dance around with an undeserved sense of entitlement owing to the simple fact they were born with a vagina. The only men they like are the ones blindly accepting of their follies, and mindlessly willing to bestow upon them their own hard earned wealth in return for their overt contempt. That kind of feels disturbing too.

Greta Thunberg and her parents knew who and what she was when she thrust herself in the public eye and began calling out individuals, organizations and countries around the world (albeit very selectively and opportunisticly) for their perceived failures and transgressions. When she did this, she made herself fair game for criticism. Just like anyone else who would seek to do the same - male, female, or other. The truth of her privately backed agenda is beginning to emerge, and now many are trying to flip the narrative to her supposed victimization. They should look first to her parents before calling out anyone else.

I don't find anything inappropriate about criticizing a female minor on an adult review board so long as people are sticking to the facts and statements they made. If someone chooses to join a public discussion then they also choose to face criticism of those ideas. Facing and dealing critics is a life lesson that a teenager like Greta needs to learn especially if she's in the public eye.

That being said, it is sad when some people choose to attack her appearance, Aspergers, age, etc. in attempt to discredit her instead of sticking to facts.

"Something must be done" and "listen to the scientists" are really lazy statements because they take no thought or analysis to make them.

So far any energy alternatives to fossil fuels have not been shown to be compatible with Earth's biosphere in one way or another, whether it be the manufacturing process, waste disposal or others.

Nuclear power generation is deemed unsafe.

Wind farms kill birds and unsightly.

Solar power not competitive enough yet.

Population control is racist based.

No alternative to Greta's demand of ditching
fossil fuels.

Pretending that her overcrowded comment was made as positive statement, after being called out, is something every scumbag politician would be proud of.

She deserves a free ride on Leonardo Dicaprio's private

People need to actually listen to the scientists here, its not lazy, its the biggest reason why nothing is being done.

Not all science is equal. The bits of data that you are relying on are shaky at best.

The video above is very enlightening. Environmental science is treated much like IQ science - you either promote the status quo or you don't get funding and get labelled a heretic. That's not how science is supposed to work.
