Then again he can’t see the forest through the trees.
I try not to be hard on Cazzelino. He has his issues and he's in denial.

Lamar Jackson had a young OL last year, this year they're more seasoned and relatively injury free. Maybe this year's playoffs will be different.

Some of you sound like you've never watched football, or maybe sports, in your life. The whole reason that football teams run RPOs is to deceive the defence, if only for a fraction of a second, about where the ball is going. Offensive co-coordinators will use any device available to create deception, including misdirection, obscuring the ball, and yes, even using dark arm bands. Lamar Jackson is dark skinned, and the Ravens often wear black uniforms. It can be hard to see a dark object against a dark background especially travelling at speed. That's why hockey players use black tape on their sticks. It's also hard to see a light colored object against a light background. That's why Major League Baseball puts a dark tarp over seats in center field directly behind the pitcher's mound.

This comment by Tim Ryan was in no way derogatory. He doesn't "deserve" any punishment. However, the sports leagues and broadcasting networks don't really care about "right and wrong". They just care about revenue. If you can increase revenue by pandering to your most irrational fans, knowing that your more rational fans won't abandon you over it, then that's what you do. People need to accept that corporations are amoral. Stop looking for them to straighten out their lunatic fans or any media pimps who they think can influence their revenue.

Uh dude.......That's a still picture,lol.

Now speed that up to game tempo and pretend you are a linebacker who has to make a split second decision.

Or reverse it. Let's say its a pasty white QB with a white ball and a white Jersey.

Jackson is a force out there either way. Am sure Ravens fans don't care one way or another if being black helps him a little bit. I know I don't.

Let’s just except the fact that he is one of the top quarterbacks in the league.
When athletes perform well on the field I’ll give them their due, it doesn’t matter what colour they are to me. Although some people seem to have an issue with this.
So it seems like from some peoples comments all you have to do is have dark skin that blends in with the football and you’ll be a great quarterback. If that is true maybe all the white quarterbacks should wear brown leather gloves that match the football then they’ll be great too.

It's readily apparent that what you wrote is pure fiction since nobody said anything close to this.

So what about when he's wearing a white long sleeve, like last game? What's your excuse now?

What's your excuse for being so lazy? LOL!

I guess you didn't check the game stats for Jackson and the Ravens offence against the Bills. Jackson was 11 for 40 on the ground (a very average 3.6 yards per carry, way below his 6.7 yard season average), the Ravens rushed for under 120 yards as a team, and had less than 260 yards in total offence. In other words, in your example, Jackson and the Ravens offence had a sub-par performance, and the RPO wasn't effective.

Whose side of the argument are you on? Mine?

Do you actually watch football? lol

I'm on the side that actually watched what happened. Not the side that just looks numbers and misrepresents them.

The Bills didn't have swiss cheese defense. You can see the players are still faked out.

Like seriously, do you actually watch or just look at numbers?

Very bad analogy. Try again.
Is an appropriate analogy hockey players using black tape on the blades of their stick? I'm not being sarcastic, it was the first thing that came to my mind when this issue made the headlines. It can be more difficult for a goalie to visually pick up a black puck from a background of black tape.

Yes, I actually watch football. I actually was at the game, and quite close to the field.

Jackson and the RPO offense of the Ravens were not very effective against the Bills. Sorry, but the stats do help to make that point. My eyeballs were telling me the same thing.

Now, how much that was due to defensive scheming by the Bills and how much was due to inferior camouflage of the football is hard to know, but one thing for sure is it makes your example a poor one. THAT game DOES NOT demonstrate that Jackson is just as effective running RPOs when the Ravens are wearing white uniforms and he is wearing white sleeves.

Now, do you understand?
