Woman arrested after recruiting 16-year-old into sex trade through Snap Chat

A woman wanted in a human trafficking investigation has been arrested in Toronto.

Durham police executed a search warrant in Toronto and arrested the 20-year-old woman. In July, a 16-year-old victim told police that she had been recruited through Snap Chat and procured into the sex trade throughout the province.

Officers are still looking for three other suspects.

Szilvia Balog, 20, of Toronto is charged with obtaining sexual services for consideration under 18, trafficking in persons under 18, financial/material benefit of trafficking person under 18, material benefit from sexual services, procuring person under 18, advertising sexual services, sexual exploitation of a young person, unlawfully possess child pornography, robbery, pointing a firearm, uttering threats and administer noxious thing.
