Captain Marvel was a rush job, MCU fucked up. More care is going into Black Widow, Scarlett Johansson isn't stupid, she knew who she wanted to play her alter ego Yelena. Florence Pugh is still over a year from her 25th and she's already done some heavy roles. I loved Fighting With My Family, I paid to see it twice in its theatre run. That's how you make a tough chick flick!

Talking to comic book nerds many agreed that Captain Marvel was just a dull character and had no business being in a big budget movie, throw in Brie Larsson, who is a good actress but to let her take the lead in a big budget MCU action film was just absurd. Add on to the fact her little tirade at some awards show where she blamed old white dudes (movie critics) for her crap movie and the fact it was not doing as well as expected, and the wheels completely came off.

What comic book nerds were you talking to?

Carol Danvers is a very rich character in the comics. With a host of experiences that make her extremely layered and interesting.
She was a natural choice for a movie adaptation. The problem was, none of this rich character history was mined for the movie at all. She was written as one dimensional, thus giving Larson nothing to work with.

I'm not a fan of Larson's politics either, but she is a good actress, and she was an excellent fit for the Carol Danvers of the comics. Able to portray a strong female character that is also damaged. Unfortunately, that Carol Danvers never made it to the screen.

Now as this was an origin story, heavily changed to fit inside the MCU, and most of Carol's trials in life come after her origin, there may still be a chance that the movie version of this character can be saved.
But to write off the comic book character as boring, is just plain wrong.

Breaking News!

The greatest actress in the universe, who can annihilate entire football teams with a sneeze, will portray French New Wave icon and Civil Rights activist Jean Seberg. It must be awesome to be Kristen Stewart, being the daughter of high powered producers, anything she wants she gets and we're all going to rush out to watch the film!

Hired shills are aggressively promoting the film on IMDB, it should be a classic.

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!
Apparently, we're not allowed to do that either.

That's what people did with this latest Charlie's Angels movie. Chose not to go see it, and look what happened. Men got blamed for simply exercising their right to chose not to go see something.

So what choice do we really have?

Either chose to watch the movie/TV show, and get the agenda forced down your throat.
Or, chose not to watch the movie/TV show, and get the agenda forced down your throat by being blamed through the media for the movie/TV show failing because of your choice.

So no matter what we do we are in the wrong, simply because we do not agree with the agenda.
That is the very definition of being force fed something. Eat this, or be punished.
"Wahhhh the feminist tone policers will capture me from my house wahhhh"

You're either extremely delusional or you're doing a terrible fucking job at being an MRA/misogynist.

I mean, that’s fine, and I fundamentally agree with you, I’m just saying, supporting one evil because of another evil is foolish. The “pathological left” is doing terrible damage to democracy, Trump is doing terrible damage to democracy. I renounce both. I understand the tendency to react to one extreme by putting yourself at the other end of it, but that’s unproductive. You can’t kill one evil by aligning yourself with another.
Why don't you explain what "pathological left" and "pathological right" means instead of cheaply throwing those terms around just so you can assert your own biases? Oh wait you can't... I've seen the type of shit that you post.

The Ceremony for Ecole Plytechnique is now on CBCNN now, very moving!

While Kristen Stewart effortlessly breaks The Undertaker's limbs...I may have picked the wrong film that ScarJo gets her Oscar.

and it's also...

A very big splash for Newfie actor Mark O'Brien.

He's having quite the run with Ready or Not, City on a Hill and now Marriage Story. Fabulous actor.

Chris Stuckmann is honest in his reviews, he highlighted something that is well known. Did Clint Eastwood undermine Richard Jewell with a miscasting. Will the film suffer "The House Syndrome"...Olivia Wilde can't act.

Just in case you missed it.

James Bond retires from M16 after the latest film. His replacement will be Lashana Lynch...I actually like the idea. 007 has been a degenerate pussybully, time for a fresh spin. She's not a Daisy Ridley, she has an extensive body of work, anyone watch Bulletproof.

Oh. Look who it is.
Once again interjecting with nothing more than platitudes and sarcasm, instead of actually addressing the facts presented with cogent arguments of your own.

Maybe if you actually tried to discuss the actual issues in an intelligent, rational way without instantly going right to insulting people, you might actually accomplish something in your sad little life.

Shaq fears magenta and Kristen Stewart!

Some limp wrists are complaining about his conduct on an LA talk show, what's wrong with some people! The Big Aristotle is being his usual charming self - there's nothing wrong with being a Portuguese Lothario. It's not like he's physically assaulting the girls like Gene Simmons did to Thea Andrews on Off The Record.

This is getting annoying. I was hoping femenazis wouldn't take over this film, sadly I'm wrong. All the men in this film are assholes to be snuffed. I think' I'll pass and wait for Guns Akimbo.

Toxic masculinity is a phrase that came out of the MeToo Movement. At first it looked sensible, the women involved had legit grievances. Then militants and charlatans started to take over and it became a tool of vengeance. Both Al Franken and Johnny Depp had their careers terminated by false allegations. Now with the avalanche happening on the internet supporting Johnny Depp, the MeToo movement is being discredited for supporting Amber Heard.

Birds of Prey was rewritten several times to make it trend friendly, it may still do great box office. But I'll wait for Guns Akimbo...unless its been corrupted by dogma as well.

Nooooooo not Julia Garner. Matthew MacFayden (Succession) is one of the best character actors working...he plays a cornudo husband in Succession. I may actually watch this. I say let the box-office sort it out, it's a risk to alienate 1/2 of the movie going public.

Creepy homour time...Amber got a gun...Amber got a gun...her whole world's come undone.

When Succession first aired, I thought Brian Cox was dominating the actors. I thought Sarah Snook can't act - wuz I wrong! Her portrayal of Siobhan Roy is borderline genius, she's a pretentious, manipulative, shallow cuckholder. Her halting speech annoyed me, that's part of the character's charm.

As Stevie Wonder would say, "Isn't she lovely".
