I wouldn't hold your breath. The two sides are far apart on the financials in terms of resuming the season. There's a lot more to this then when the lockdown ends.
Here's the thing. The owners are financially independent. They are wealthy in their own right. The players need MLB much more than billionaire owners. The players should learn that half a pay cheque is much better than no pay cheque. Also, the shelf life of a player is probably around 10-12 years so it wouldn't make sense to lose a year's pay.

What the players should do, and what they're lead to believe are two completely different things.

GTA & Thereabouts...
I cannot see the Jays, as the only non-US team, playing here in Toronto. While I like to go to games, I'm cool with them chilling in Dunedin. As long as baseball is on TV, I'm good.

Here
The one great thing about this season is that it is the end of May and the BJ's are not already out of it!

And our pitching staff has an ERA about 7 runs below where I thought it would be!

Stick a fork in it boys, season is as good as done. The two sides are still very far apart. Even a 48 game season is highly unlikely at this point.

Toronto
apparently they're close to a deal.
Manfred and Clarke agree on a 60 game schedule at full pro-rated pay. Now each has to sell it to their respective constituents.

meh, who cares with all the bickering between the owners and players. Cancel the 2020 season.

Not Blue Jays related, but MLB, a Happy Bobby Bonilla Day to all !!

$1,193,248.20 into Bobby's bank account, 15 more years to go!

And up until 2015, he was also getting half a million a year from Baltimore, plus he gets his mlb pension. As far as the money he's getting from the Mets, he can thank Bernie Madoff for that.

Looks like no home run derby this year. I think Junior went homerless in his last 32 (more or less) games in 2019.

Some good news. Blue jays and first round draft pick, Austin Martin, in agreement on a deal, pending physical, according to an industry source.
They still haven't signed Nick Frasso though as their fourth round pick.

The best player in MLB doesn't sound too excited about the season. Missing a season will hurt his career stats but he will still be a 1st ballot HOFer.

We won't know if this is a good news or not for a few years. If he's a bust it's bad news.
