The Houston Asstros just held a bizarro press conference, the owner just put his face in his ass.

They are going to set a record for being hit by a pitch. The Portuguese Lothario just went off on them. The story isn't over, some of the best sports writers attended the conference, there will be blood.

Jeez Louise! What was Reese Maguire thinking, he's too young to be a Taunting French Type.

I'm interested to see how Vladi looks when he shows up, he's been working hard on his fitness. If he can control his weight he should hit 30 hr easily. Phil who's your sig pic?

His weight has nothing to do with hitting home runs. He could gain weight and hit 30. It's about making him more agile on the field so he doesn't break the record for making errors by a third basemen.

Norman Singen Polevaulter, I disagree.

Yes they do want Vladi fitter so that he can stick as an everyday third baseman. He also ran out of juice during the last six weeks of last season which must have been embarrassing for him. Hopefully he's brought his cardio up to a point that allows him to mash in September.

Maybe, but that's very minor in the grand scheme of him losing weight. He also ran out of mental gas as the team was playing meaningless baseball. Him running out of physical gas the last 6 weeks is debatable. Was not debatable is the amount of errors he made at 3rd and how apparent his lack of range was.

I'll perfectly honest, I actually feel sorry for him. This is a good guy, who probably didn't have a lot of privacy where he stays in Florida for spring training, and thought an empty parking lot with nobody around would be okay. This wasn't a guy purposely exposing himself to people who was drunk or anything. For this to get dragged out into the public is a shame.

Sort of agree. Anyone who hasnt jacked off is a liar.

You gotta keep it in private though. He's gonna get mocked like crazy when/if he returns to Toronto

That's my point, maybe he was bursting at the seems (as most 24 year olds are) and a car in a parking lot was going to get as private as it gets for a while for him.

You said, "you have to keep it private". Well when you don't have privacy, and your a 24 year old who's at his sexual peak, you try do find a place that you think is private, and that's what I believe he thought he did. Again, this wasn't a guy who was purposely exposing himself. This was a guy who was extremely embarrassed and totally caught off guard. Had he thought anyone would have seen him, he wouldn't have done what he did. Now you have jack ass's like Scott MacArthur on the morning show saying shit like "at some point Reese MaGuire is going to have to answer some questions". Really you fucking asshole??? Can we not just acknowledge he's a young 24 year old that is already extremely embarrassed and let the young man move on? Did anyone say "Scott MacArthur is going to have to answer some questions" when you came out as homosexual sports personality?? Then shut the fuck up and let the guy move on.

Is that who Scott MacArthur is, he and Arash Madani were "filling in" for Tim and Sid who were off doing a promotional for Sportsnet. Had it been Arash and Donovan Bennett, I would have watched. Is MacArthur really gay or just sphincteresque like Kevin Barker?

Don't really care that Maguire needed to relieve himself but he should have thought it through. Florida at this time of the year is "fully packed" with tourists. He should have parked at the far end of a cinema house...nothing to see there.

The Blue Jays prez in an interview:

The Star: On that note, there are lots of fans who consider Toronto a big market team, one that shouldn’t have to go through those cycles. What would you say to those people?

Shapiro: “Toronto is a big market. It's not as big a market as New York or Los Angeles. That's just a fact. It doesn't have the regional media dollars that Boston has. It obviously has a national following, but the regional media dollars that exist in the U.S. media markets is very different for the largest scale.

“It doesn't mean we're not a big market. It probably puts us at more of a large-middle market or a small-big market. It's very fair to expect that in our high expenditure days, we’ll be a five-to-10 level team, which is great. It’s more than enough. And when we're building, which hopefully we don’t go through again, it's not necessarily driven by revenue. It's driven by more where we are with our young players.”

Thanks for proving my point. Jays are not at the same level as big market as NY Yankees, Mets, Dodgers and Cubs.
We are just below that

Please don't misquote me, Phil. I NEVER said that they were as big as NY or LA or Bost. I said that they are a big market and probably the wealthiest owner, but I am realistic enough to know not on the same scale as those other teams. The prez admits straight up that they are a big market, but on the smaller side of the biggest markets. You always stated, without comparisons, that the Jays were NOT a big market, period. The bolded quotes above say otherwise.
