stickers are another waste of taxpayers money. They are making cuts and screwing up healthcare and education and yet continue to squander taxpayer money on stickers frivolous law suits( carbon tax). The gas station I frequent has the stickers on the pumps in French. I have no idea how many French speaking people there are in this area, I know I am not one of them. What angers me most is I voted for the useless tit!
There have been stickers on the pumps indicating the taxes for years...why are these any different?
Are you afraid of knowing how much you’re getting ripped off?

There is no law forbidding you from making an intelligent post, so what's holding you back?
Says the guy posting a non-intelligent quote.

It’s almost Halloween...shouldn’t you be haunting a house somewhere?

“Let’s see” is not an excuse for breaking the law.
Just because its a law doesn't mean its just, fake news.
In Victoria its illegal for street performers to give kids balloon animals.
Current law in Alberta states that it is against the law to paint a wooden ladder.

Protesting against stupid laws is part of the democratic process.

You gonna tell me you've never jay walked in your life?

So you pay at the pump and then get the money back as a rebate. Doesn't make much sense and does nothing to reduce carbon.
We have already got the credits back from the Government in the 2018 Tax returns. The whole idea is to dissuade the Canadians from unnecessarily using their vehicles and coming up with other options like public transport etc when possible. No wonder the Generation X and Y are restricting their use on cars and more investment in Green energy etc is in the offing!!

There’s a difference between protesting a law you don’t like and breaking a law you don’t like.
Your homework is to figure out the difference and then report back here.

How do you propose people who don’t have access to good public transit like in rural areas ditch their cars and get to where they need to go...like work...where they earn money and pay taxes?
Horseback?
Easy for people in bigger cities to use transit...what about everyone else?

That is why the investment in Electric cars needs to be accelerated, and those using it need not worry about the Carbon tax in the future!!

Right, so when you jaywalk you break the law.
When I pull of a Ford sticker I protest.

Which makes me morally superior to you, fake news.
Add that to better at math.

So if Dofo posts a pic of his ass on every gas pump and passes a law which says you must kiss the pic when you get gas, you'd do it ? Of course you would!

Haven't the gas companies been putting stickers on their pumps explaining how much of the cost is tax for quite a while now? I saw them long before the carbon tax stickers.

Maybe just in some very right leaning counties. None of my local gas stations were pleased with having to be forced to conform to some ridiculous stickers on their gas pumps!!

Yes, but Ford's stickers are dishonest because they omit the rebate...pure political spin

There a lot of stupid laws. Does that mean we should break them?
Hello, are you forgetting what site we are on?

Everyday, thousands upon thousands of Canadians are engaging in unlawful acts according to Bill C-36.

Beaver,

You must live a cloistered life, because such stickers have been on pumps both inside and outside of Toronto for quite some time now. The gas companies decided to put them up to explain that high gas prices had more to do with tax than with oil prices.

That's an odd definition of dishonest. There are no rebates granted at the pumps. The stickers are perfectly accurate as to the impact of the carbon tax on prices at the pump.

As to the rebates, it strikes me as inexplicable that the carbon tax system is about collecting a tax and then returning it all to taxpayers at tax time. What could that possibly accomplish? Should it really be called the "Carbon Short Term Interest Free Loan From Taxpayers to Government"? LOL.

If taxpayers are getting all their money back, how would that act as an inducement to change their consumption of fuel? And if the government nets only some small amount of the tax, how will that money be spent to reduce the amount of CO2 in the air? The whole concept sounds daft to me!

No.
When you jay walk you break the law.
When you peel stickers off you break the law.
You seem confused.

There are better things to look for, rather than some political stickers. Definitely have not come across those stickers that you are referring to, on the actual pump stations. Just stickers like getting a Petro Canada Card to take off 10 cents per litre, or Air Miles or other gift cards etc. But now this Dumb DOFO sticker is very noticeable, as it is very misleading and a dishonest one!!
