They should develop one for hockey, maybe they can finally call all that interference that the Bruins run all game long.
About time! A strike zone is a strike zone, this will keep it 100% consistent. its frustrating to a batter or pitcher when umpires have varying strike zones.
Who will the managers scream at when they do not like the call? Can the robots eject players for arguing?

First time a player sliding into home bashes into it will end that idea. Or will they put it on tracks so it moves away after every pitch?

Since the networks already have a something like it...the box which tracks each ball as it crosses the plate and the strike zone isnt 1 size fits all... a little tweeking and it'll be used
you wont be able to remove Umps completely from the game but with HD slow-mo replay it'll be " Lets go to the Replay Bob" on any close calls....cant wait for 4 - 5 hour games with all the challenges ..
